  I don't leave reviews often, but for the experience I received via the 3 Alamos I used across the islands, I felt the want to leave a review for them, and thus will be cross posting via the 3 locations. The three locations being: HNL airport Alamo Kona airport Alamo Maui airport Alamo I'm one to shop around for the cheapest rates all the way up until the day of until I find a fair value for what I'm paying. Being said, I'm very patient. I ended up choosing to use Alamo at each island because: ●Rates were one of the cheapest ●Reviews were the highest in the area I travel a lot, and rent cars on almost every trip. As I should mention, if visiting Hawaii, which was a first for me, I couldn't imagine not renting a car to experience all of what Hawaii has to offer on your time. Don't think, do it, you won't regret it. We did a wrangler. Didn't encounter any aggressive drivers, most roads are very well taken care of, even the "4x4" required ones. The prices were right about what other rental agencies had vehicles for; 5 or 10$ difference. The staff at each location were by far some is the best representatives I've encountered in the rental car business. From the pickup to the returns. Even one lady had got me the same price I had pre-purchased even tho I booked a week later then when I needed it, at pick up. No pressure for the insurance BS, even thought i did have coverage with my credit card. Cars were clean, all newer vehicles with less than 25k to 3k. Well done Alamo.

  We arrived the day after the hurricane, and a lot of staff had been unable to get to work. Keith the manager was alone but served everyone with a smile and polite efficiency, he was excellent. Due to delays in car cleaning, we were offered any car that was available so we got a free upgrade to a Jeep which we enjoyed driving around big island. The return process was very quick. The shuttle to the car rental area was frequent and the drivers super friendly and helpful with bags.

  Quick and easy pick up and drop off. The SUV had a couple of scratches but nothing serious. We got a Jeep Wagoneer. It was roomy and nice leather seats. The ride was nice and quiet. The only thing was it had cockroaches!!!!! I killed 2 big ones and a baby crawled on me!!! Urggg….It’s a pretty common thing but just make sure you do not store anything in the car at all!

  하와이 여행의 좋은 기억이 알라모 렌터카 때문에 크게 훼손되었습니다. 공항 지점 이용을 고민하시는 분들께 솔직한 후기를 남깁니다. 묵었던 호텔(로즈우드, 포시즌스 등)에서도 차량 대여가 가능했는데 이를 몰라 공항에서 알라모를 이용한 것이 가장 후회됩니다. 약간의 비용 차이가 있더라도, 마음의 평화를 위해 호텔 내 렌터카 데스크를 이용하시는 것을 강력히 권장합니다. 알라모 렌터카 공항 지점의 주요 문제점: 체계 없는 업무 프로세스: 일 처리가 매우 주먹구구식입니다. 불통과 무책임한 태도: 고객이 영어를 모국어처럼 쓰지 못하면 무조건 "못 알아듣겠지" 하며 대충 넘기려 들고, 자신의 실수가 명백할 때조차 끝까지 우기다가 강하게 따져야만 마지못해 잘못을 인정합니다. 부당한 보증금 및 사후 처리 불량: 관광객들을 대상으로 하는 곳이라 그런지, 차량 키를 반납하고 그리고 차량 렌트에 대한 디파짓 취소 조건도 모두 채웠음에도 보증금을 취소해 주지 않고 있습니다. 국제전화로 문의해도 "바쁘다"는 핑계로 일방적으로 전화를 끊어버립니다. 여행객의 편의와 신뢰를 저버린 알라모 렌터카, 절대 추천하지 않습니다.

  I reserved a truck to move a new refrigerator. There was no parking available even though there where spots everywhere so I had to pay for airport parking. When I got back from paid parking they ran my debit card and authorized it but told me since I live local I can't use a debit card, and must have a credit card present which I don't carry on me. The customer service agent was kind but the company policies suck. I still have a pending authorization on my debit card, and a park fee but I'm not allowed to rent the truck I reserved. It's a bummer that a company has a more strict reservation policy for locals that is not advertised. Alamo = no aloha.
