First time renting from SIXT and the pick up of my vehicle was a very pleasant experience! The agent even stayed late to accommodate my pick up as my flight was delayed and they close at 10:30pm. My flight arrived at 10:25pm and I still had to deplane and pick up my luggage. The agent was very friendly and helpful, even gave me a courtesy call to stay they would stay until I got there! Hope that drop off goes just as smoothly!
We had a wonderful experience thanks to Mario and Bridget! They were both incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. They made the rental process easy and stress-free, answered all of our questions with patience, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Seamless experience. We didn’t have to wait in line at SIXT while the competition had long waits we were able to start our Maui vacation much faster. Heika, Ekika, and Ashley were our three points of contact. All were VERY helpful and kind. We had the same seamless experience dropping the rental car off. We will be using SIXT car rentals again!

From the initial contact with an agent to the return agent, customer service is definitely a priority with Sixt. I was offered vehicle upgrade after expressing concern about room of car for visiting family and felt confident when told I should be good with my choice and needs I expressed. Recommend highly this company and will use them in future.

I rented a vehicle from Sixt at Maui Airport for a family vacation with our children. After picking up groceries at Costco and arriving at our hotel, I noticed that one of the front tires was dangerously worn and nearly bald. While I expected a vehicle to be delivered in safe condition, I understand that issues can happen.
Because we were planning to drive the Road to Hana, I immediately contacted roadside assistance. They agreed the vehicle should be exchanged and approved a replacement. However, when I arrived at the branch, the employee dismissed my concerns about the tire despite its obvious condition. I requested a formal inspection of the vehicle before turning it in, and I was told there was no damage.
We accepted the replacement vehicle and completed our trip without incident. At the end of the rental, the replacement vehicle was also inspected and I was again told there was no damage.
After returning home, I was surprised to receive charges for alleged "door damage" that did not occur, along with fees related to the original vehicle's tire issue, which Sixt later described as a "leaking tire."
This experience was deeply disappointing and completely at odds with the service I expected from Sixt. My advice to future renters is to take extensive photos and videos of the vehicle at pickup and again at drop-off. Based on my experience, even after a vehicle has been inspected and returned, you may still be held responsible for damage claims raised after the vehicle has been returned and accepted.
Update: June 19. the saga continues, emails sent to claims department, no answer. New automated emails keep coming. Call the call center and no human answers.
