  WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! No Cars available for "Aisle" customers. When I asked for an upgrade to a larger vehicle for better visablity, I was told they don't have any available, and that it was my responsibility to check the website to monitor this. Why would I check this if I already had a reservation? When pressed further, they offered a slightly larger vehicle (Toyota Rav 4 over a Chevy Trailblazer) but wanted to double my rental cost to $2K for the ten day rental. When I let them know how disgusting this is business practice is, I was threatened with cancelling my reservation leaving us without a car for a vacation booked over six months ago. Here's the best part...we had an accident in this rental car due to poor visability! NEVER AGAIN, National Car Rental!!!!

  Die schlechteste Erfahrung die ich mit einem Mietwagen(Verleih) je gemacht habe. Wir sind spät abends gelandet und als wir ankamen wurde uns gesagt, wir hätten noch 9 Minuten um uns ein Auto auszusuchen, den Kindersitz einzubauen und aus dem Parkhaus zu fahren, dann würden sie schließen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt kamen viele Menschen an und alle wurden total unter Druck gesetzt. An einem Internationalen Flughafen erwarte ich eigentlich, dass ich mein Auto 24/7 abholen kann. Der Service an der Ausfahrt war sehr unfreundlich und das Auto in keinem guten Zustand. Es wurde definitiv nicht gereinigt zwischen den Vermietungen.

  Easy in and easy out, plus nice selection of vehicles (at the Executive level). The Jeep my family and I rented was a plug-in hybrid which made for an easy-on-the-pocketbook experience as we toured the island of O'ahu. The vehicle was well-kept and clean. Everything functioned perfectly - it was the ideal car for our adventure and fit right in with the big-wheeled island culture. About the only thing I could have wished for (and is sometimes included in other rentals) was a screen to block the sun for the front windshield which would have made a difference in comfort after sitting a couple hours by the beach or shopping areas. Overall, it was another solid experience from National Car Rental. Thanks!

  No friking way of calling the rental company directly. I picked up my car and it turned out to be a 2 seater car I could barely fit in. I asked the attendant if there were other cars and she said no. Wellllll.....2 coworkers picked up cars, reserved as economy, and they were upgraded to bigger cars. I checked in at the same time with one coworker and another checked in about 15 mins after us. National car rental workers lied to my face when I asked about another car. Been trying to call them all day to see if I could exchange my car for something else but there is no way to call them directly. Going to visit them today and will update my review as needed. Shouldn't be this hard to get ahold of a car rental company!

  After traveling for work for 20 years, I have finally found a rental car company where they exceed any expectations I could ever have. National has exceptional people working for them and they treat you like gold, no matter where you are. Honolulu is exceptional though!!!!! I had the pleasure of working with Chad, a manager there and he was amazing. He was phenomenal with communication, making sure I was happy, keeping all the customers attended to, and treated me like gold! Andrea checked me out and was so personable and we chatted the whole time she was getting me ready to leave the facility. Felt like talking to an old friend. At check in, I had just had an issue in my hotel parking lot, and was shaken up...but Nikne was so calming and reassuring. He was more concerned about me than the car, which was such a relief. No matter where I travel to, I know that the people at National will be wonderful, but Honolulu is the best of the best! Thank you and Mahalo to the team there!!!!
