  Friendly staff, clean cars, and just a pleasant experience overall! The Honolulu location is particularly special because it's the first impression you get immediately upon arrival in Hawaii, and the staff there was incredibly friendly, efficient, and just made the whole rental experience top grade. Mahalo National!

  In my 15 years of using National car, I’ve only had one problem and I have absolutely no complaints on this trip. I love them and their service. My only complaint is I use the car to go to the hotel and to the airport. I never got to use it for driving around the island. Other than that you guys are awesome thank you. I look forward to using you when I get to San Diego.

  Rental Agreement # 868002950 Alternate Rental Agreement # C68ZBB Invoice # 80050717094 When I arrived at the Emerald Aisle, the selection was incredibly disappointing. Only three vehicles were available—an older, small sedan and a compact SUV. Because none of these could fit my party of four and our luggage, I had to pay out-of-pocket for an expensive upgrade. I have never experienced such a poor selection with the Emerald Aisle. I am very frustrated by the unexpected extra cost that was caused by lack of inventory.

  National is a great company. They have great employees. My experience here was no different. I am giving 3 stars because of the annoying rules and restrictions with free days. I travel all year and spend thousands of dollars for car rentals. I use free days very rarely and usually when my family is with me. Using free days and "coupon codes" shouldn't be this difficult. I think National has some work to do here. As usual, the employees are amazing despite the dumb restrictions around "free days". 5 stars for the employees, 1 star for the company on this one. - weekly traveler

  Normally, I am very happy and satisfied with the cars I rent from you, however, this rental was not so great. When we picked the car I did notice a couple of black ants on the car, I killed them and continued to inspect the car. Satisfied with the inspection, we checked out continued our day. The next morning, I noticed lots of the same black ants all over the car. They were coming out of crevices and as soon as I killed them more came out. It was really gross. I was waiting in the car for my son to finish his appointment and I saw that the ants came into the car and a couple even got on me. I called customer service the agent was very nice and helpful. He apologized and said we could return the car and get a new one. We did take the car back and the agent at drop off was also very kind and apologetic. We went to choose another car and did a very thorough inspection...no ants or so we thought. Later that same afternoon, we found ants on the new car. Thankfully it was not that many but it was disappointing to see them again. We also found a few on the last day of our rental. When we returned the car, I told the agent what had happened explaining that this was our second car because of the ants. He was also very kind and apologetic and he credited me a day's rental for the inconvenience. I was so surprised and very grateful. I know this normally doesn't happen, as I said this is the first time I had found critters on the car. Hopefully this won't happen again. I very much appreciate your agents kindness and understanding. That alone made me feel heard and understood. Thank you for having such professional and sincere agents working for you, they were amazing. Mahalo, Heather Kanemoto
