Horrible experience. Got off of our flight mind you first time flying. Went to pick up our rental car and pay and the lady helping us was extremely rude because we had trouble finding our QR code for our flight. Went apologized for not being able to find it asked for some help and she was rude and had horrible customer service and was getting upset to the point of not wanting to rent us the vehicle. I will never be doing a rental through enterprise again will be going else where. Horrible 1st time experience with them

    1. When we 1st got the rental it was the only thing available, instead of a few option. 2. The SUV was dirty (carpet, console, seats, and windshield. 3. Apparently no one replaced the key FOB battery, because it stated it needed changing and barely worked at times (not the customers job to change batteries). 4. The A/C for the back seating kept only blowing hot air, unless you turn it off for the back seats altogether, then synced the entire A/C unit for the vehicle. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this Enterprise rental car service for Hawaii!

I want to share my experience with Enterprise. I want to emphasize that the employee who ultimately assisted my family and me was professional, attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by another employee’s treatment of us. The line was short, but I still had to wait an excessive amount of time. There was an employee assisting a customer ahead of us, which I understood. However, after she finished helping that customer, she remained available for an additional 5–10 minutes while using her phone, without acknowledging or assisting my family and me. As soon as another employee became available and began helping us, the first employee immediately assisted the customers who had been waiting behind us. We felt singled out and uncomfortable, and the experience raised concerns about possible bias. Enterprise should investigate and address this situation.

Customer service was incredible so please understand they did what they could in the circumstances. What I was more upset at was that we ordered a Jeep (cliche for Hawaii I know, but it's what me and the misses wanted) and we get there and they have 0 Jeeps available. They nicely upgraded us to a luxury SUV so no biggie there, but we get in to find it was not cleaned on the inside at all from the previous renter. Makeup stains, glitter int he cupholder, etc. We wiped it down the best we could but were mildly disappointed to have to switch cars then clean the only upgrade they had for us. On a positive note, we did get a Land Rover Defender which ended up being a great car for the trip and were able to extend it one extra day past the initial rental agreement due to the storm.

Overall, a lot can be desired with this location. Here are just three things that I had to deal with. 1) Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes in line. I have rented from other Enterprise airport locations and had a seamless experience with online check-in. Unfortunately, the Enterprise at HNL does not have this (despite having a sign by the line telling people to check-in online). 2) Once my check-in was completed, I proceeded upstairs to get my car. I reserved and paid for a full size, and they had three available. Unfortunately, there were issues with all three. One did not have a working infotainment system for my phone, another was not clean, and the final car had a dent. 3) Once I finally selected the best of three undesirable options, we drove off only to discover a poor stench coming from the air conditioning, as if they had not changed the air cabin filter or just did a poor job cleaning the interior of the car. On the bright side, the car rental facility is very convenient and nice. I would just rent from a company that does offer online check-in, has a better selection of vehicles, and actually cares about cleanliness.
