Extremely disappointing experience with AutoZone. I purchased upgraded brake calipers for my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. It took 25 days—from June 8 to July 3—for the parts to even arrive. When I finally went to install them, I discovered that the mounting holes did not line up correctly, so the calipers could not be installed. I went back to AutoZone expecting them to work with me on the issue, but because the purchase was outside their 90-day return window, they refused to provide a return, exchange, or even store credit. I understand that companies have return policies, but it’s incredibly frustrating to be denied any reasonable resolution when 25 of those days were spent simply waiting for the part to arrive. I’m now stuck with an expensive vehicle-specific part that I can’t install and money that I can’t recover. This experience has seriously changed where I’ll consider buying vehicle parts in the future. If you’re buying an expensive part from AutoZone, make absolutely sure you verify the fitment and understand the return policy—especially if the part has to be ordered and shipped. Once that return window closes, don’t expect much help if there’s a problem.
