- JHJessica HarrisAug 2, 20261.0I’ve been coming to this RaceTrac for a while, and one thing they consistently do well is keep the store clean. The facility is almost always well maintained, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, the customer service is consistently disappointing. I’ve walked in, said “Good morning,” and been met with complete silence—no greeting, no smile, no acknowledgment. I’m not expecting a lengthy conversation, but basic courtesy should be standard. I understand how difficult staffing can be, and I know businesses sometimes have to hire whoever is available. However, simply having warm bodies behind the counter isn’t enough. Customer service is part of the job, and acknowledging customers with a simple “Good morning” or “Hello” takes almost no effort. The most concerning part is that this isn’t an issue with just one employee. In my experience, about 90% of the staff have the same lack of engagement. I hope management addresses this because the store itself is great—it just needs a team that makes customers feel welcome.
