  I am absolutely disgusted by the behavior I experienced from the store manager, Shonte’, at this RaceTrac location. After waiting several minutes at the register, I was met with an unnecessarily rude and hostile attitude when I simply asked how she was doing. She repeatedly insisted I should have used self-checkout, even after I explained that I was paying with cash. What is most disturbing is how the situation escalated. Despite remaining calm and attempting to remove myself from the confrontation, I was treated as though I was a threat. I am deeply offended by what I believe was racial profiling and the implication that I was somehow dangerous simply because I am a Black man. No customer should ever be made to feel that way while trying to make a purchase. To make matters worse, Shonte’ refused to provide her name when I requested it, and I had to obtain it from another employee. I have already contacted RaceTrac Corporate and requested a formal investigation, including a review of the security footage from that morning. This was one of the most unprofessional and upsetting experiences I have ever had at a convenience store. RaceTrac should hold its management team to a much higher standard.

  i will never go back to a racetrac again after my visit here. I have been waiting to grab some froyo for about 6 hours and I was so excited to go get some from racetrac. Mind you racetrac is open 24/7 and this one specificly says it is open 24 hours. I drove OUT OF MY WAY to go here and I get out and the doors are locked. All the lights are on and i see a worker inside but she couldn’t care any less that I was outside with my family trying to go inside. I am not just disappointed. I am upset,angry,insulted and embarrassed for this company and have a car full of my child’s tears because we couldn’t get froyo after waiting all day. I will never be back at a race trac again. One star is being extremely generous

  I came in at 12:41 a.m. on Sunday, May 24, to get a snack and a drink. One of the employees complained that I was tracking water footprints through the store and told her coworker that they needed to lock the doors. I asked if they were closing soon and mentioned that I could leave. She responded by saying, “Do you need help?” I repeated my question about whether they were closing, and she replied, “Did you come in here to walk in a circle?” After that interaction, I left the establishment. The customer service was very disappointing. I understand that the employees were mopping and cleaning, but that is typically why entrance carpets are used, and there was no carpet in place at the time. While I do not mind the location itself, I was very put off by the employee’s behavior and attitude.
