They were very patient and helpful. My tire was shedding tread and that's stressful! It was almost 100 outside but the waiting room was nice and cool. I had to run back out to my car for a long sleeve shirt! They have a large waiting room with chairs and a table also. They do a lot of business so bring a drink and snack!

Friendly and fast service. I came in for a free tire rotation. They let me know that I might have a tire issue in the future. Told me how to get the best prices on tires. Really professional. They are not able to perform an alignment on my vehicle which is a newer EV.

Amazing customer service! Came in on a Sunday afternoon right before closing with a flat tire and a hour from home. Instead of sending me away they fixed my tire problem so I could safely get home and were friendly about it the entire time.

Update 8/6/26
Thank you to manager Chad at Mavis Northisde for reaching out and making this right.
If only I could leave a lower rating for the Mavis Tire store on Northside Drive in Statesboro, GA.
In March 2025, I purchased a new set of Nexen tires for my son’s vehicle from this location. Less than 16,000 miles later, on July 14, 2026, one of the tires developed a knot in the sidewall. I asked about warranty coverage and was told I hadn’t purchased the road hazard warranty. While I disagreed because a sidewall knot is a manufacturing issue not road hazard damage, I accepted the answer and paid to replace the tire.
Yesterday, Just two weeks later, a second tire developed the exact same sidewall knot in the same exact location in the sidewall design/littering.
Again, I asked if they could help with the tire or assist with a manufacturer warranty claim. Instead, I was told I could contact the manufacturer myself. Since my son needed a safe vehicle, I purchased another replacement tire.
That’s when things became unbelievable.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. today, the store refused to install the replacement tire because it differed by more than 3/32” of tread depth from the other original tires. According to the manager, Josh, Mavis policy prohibited mounting it unless I also replaced the remaining tires.
When I pointed out that this same store had installed an identical replacement tire just two weeks earlier under the same circumstances, Josh responded that the other manager was “new” and “shouldn’t have replaced it.”
So which is it? Either it’s safe to install the tire or it isn’t. Apparently, the answer depends on which manager is working that day.
The conversation then became even more frustrating. Rather than addressing the inconsistent policies, Josh began criticizing the tires that Mavis sold me. He commented that “Nexen doesn’t have a high customer rating.” Ironically, this was the same tire Mavis recommended and sold me when I purchased the original set. In fact, the tire carries excellent customer reviews and was one of the recommended options for my son’s vehicle.
He then attempted to sell me Mavis’ house-brand touring tire, claiming it was both cheaper and a better tire.
Here’s some free customer service advice: never insult a product you sold your customer in an effort to sell them something else. If the tire is that poor, why did Mavis recommend and install it in the first place?
The most absurd part of the entire experience was that they refused to install the tire while it was on the vehicle, yet told me they would mount the exact same tire if I removed the wheel from the car and brought it into the store.
Think about that. The exact same tire. The exact same wheel. The only difference is whether it’s attached to the car.
That’s not a safety policy, that’s an arbitrary policy.
After spending hundreds of dollars on tires at this store, having two apparent sidewall failures in only 16,000 miles, receiving no meaningful assistance with what appears to be a manufacturing issue, being given conflicting explanations by different managers, having the product I originally purchased criticized by the same company that sold it to me, and finally being refused installation of a tire they admitted they would mount if I simply removed the wheel myself, I can confidently say I will never do business with this location again.
If you’re looking for consistency, customer service, or someone willing to stand behind the products they sell, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
9 tires in one year, but no more, not a single tire valve stem cap will be purchased from Mavis anywhere.
