I needed a new fuel system for my old bmw, but it seems they didn’t correctly install it since I have a minor evap leak after only a year. They were also insisting I pay a diagnostic fee, but we already paid over 2 grand for it and waited 2 weeks to get it back. A brand new fuel system shouldn’t have that issue after only a year, even for a 20 year old vehicle.

This was our second vehicle to bring for service. The AC wasn’t cooling and a check engine light was on. The truck was diagnosed and fixed for a fair price. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly!

DO NOT take your vehicle here. Savannah Car Care is fraudulent and incompetent.
Less than an hour after picking up our vehicle the dashboard lit up with warning lights and began jerking and stalling. We took it to a trustworthy mechanic for a second opinion where we were told that the batteries installed were not only WRONG but also OLD and covered in dust. Over 40 programming-related fault codes were found and the vehicle needed to be taken to a dealership for further expenses and diagnoses.
After sharing this experience to a local Savannah public forum, others have confirmed they have a history of damaging cars and installing old parts.
When confronted SCC's response was: "we provide a warranty for all repairs we perform but we cannot provide that if the vehicle is not brought back to us." Why the HELL would I bring it back to them? I told SCC my vehicle will never be anywhere near their shop again, and our receipts and diagnostic evidence should be sufficient proof for a refund. They have since stopped responding altogether.
We paid an unreasonable amount of money for work that was done cheaply and incorrectly, and we are now facing additional and even more expensive repairs. Worse, they knowingly returned the vehicle to us in that condition and put my wife's safety at risk. They have taken zero accountability.
I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
I'll be seeing them in court.
Frequently Asked Questions About Savannah Car Care
When should I get my brakes checked?
Schedule brake service if you notice squeaking, grinding, vibration, or reduced braking response. Coastal moisture and stop-and-go traffic increase brake wear locally, making regular inspections important. Our technicians ensure braking systems meet safety standards and restore confidence on Savannah roads.
What causes uneven tire wear on coastal roads?
Uneven tire wear often results from misaligned wheels, which can worsen on coastal roads and uneven surfaces common around Savannah. Proper wheel alignment corrects pulling and extends tire life. At Savannah Car Care, precision alignment services protect your tires and improve handling.
How do I know if my suspension needs repair?
Signs include bouncing, clunking noises, uneven tire wear, and poor ride comfort. Coastal roads and daily commuting accelerate suspension wear on shocks, struts, and components. Suspension repairs restore proper handling and vehicle stability for a smoother, safer ride in Savannah, GA.
What does a check engine light really mean?
A check engine light signals an engine or system problem detected by your vehicle's computer. It could indicate emissions issues, sensor failures, or drivability concerns. At Savannah Car Care, we use advanced diagnostics to pinpoint the exact issue and prevent minor problems from becoming major repairs.
Can preventive maintenance improve fuel efficiency?
Yes, routine maintenance like oil changes, air filter replacements, and tire checks improve fuel efficiency by keeping your engine running smoothly. Clean oil reduces friction, and proper tire inflation lowers rolling resistance. Preventive care also reduces breakdowns and extends vehicle life for Savannah drivers.
How does coastal humidity affect car batteries in Savannah?
Coastal humidity can shorten battery life over time by accelerating corrosion on terminals and connections. High moisture levels stress electrical components, making regular battery testing essential. At Savannah Car Care, we help drivers avoid unexpected breakdowns with proactive battery inspections and replacements.
What's included in a multi-point inspection during an oil change?
A multi-point inspection checks fluid levels, belts, hoses, brakes, tires, lights, and filters to identify potential issues before they become costly repairs. This helps maintain manufacturer recommendations and vehicle reliability. It's ideal for commuters and high-mileage drivers in Savannah, GA navigating coastal driving conditions.
Why does my car AC struggle in Savannah summers?
Coastal heat and humidity place added strain on vehicle HVAC systems, leading to weak airflow, refrigerant leaks, or system failures. Professional diagnostics identify issues like low refrigerant or compressor problems quickly. At Savannah Car Care, we restore reliable cooling so you stay comfortable in all driving conditions.
Why does my steering wheel pull to one side?
Steering wheel pulling often indicates wheel misalignment, uneven tire pressure, or worn suspension components. Coastal roads and uneven surfaces around Savannah can accelerate these issues. Precision alignment and steering inspections restore control, protect tires, and enhance driving stability.
What's the biggest mistake people make with AC maintenance?
Many drivers wait until their AC completely fails before seeking service, which can lead to more expensive repairs. Regular diagnostics catch refrigerant leaks and weak airflow early. At Savannah Car Care, we recommend scheduling HVAC service before summer to ensure reliable cooling in Savannah's intense heat.
What's the benefit of using a local shop for extended warranty repairs?
A local shop works directly with warranty providers to simplify the repair process and reduce out-of-pocket expenses for covered repairs. At Savannah Car Care, we're experienced with warranty documentation and approvals, making hassle-free covered repairs easy for Savannah, GA drivers.
How often should I schedule tire balancing?
Tire balancing should be done during installation and whenever you notice vibration or uneven wear. Proper balancing improves handling, braking, and fuel efficiency, especially for daily commuters and coastal drivers encountering varied road conditions. Our technicians ensure correct fit and inflation every time.
