When a warning light popped up on my dashboard, I headed over to Advance Auto Parts hoping someone could help. A very kind young man came out, took the time to check everything, and explained it all in a way I could actually understand. He was patient, respectful, and genuinely happy to help. It's easy to hear negative things about younger generations, but this young man reminded me that there are still plenty of good people out there. Julian's kindness gave me a little more faith in the future. I'll definitely be back when it's time for new windshield wipers—or anything else my old car decides to throw at me. Thank you for the excellent service and for treating an old fellow with such respect.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.
How much does a car battery cost?

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
