I wish Google allowed negative stars.
I’ve been to Mavis Tire FIVE times in four months, so at this point I feel less like a customer and more like an unpaid quality-control employee.
Here’s the condensed version of my Mavis Tire adventure:
6/1/26 – Mavis Tire, Cedartown, GA
Purchased four new Mavis Mountaineer A/T2 tires by Kumho, requested an alignment, and specifically asked for all four tires to be road-force balanced. I was told, “No problem,” and that the vehicle would ride like new.
I later discovered the Cedartown location doesn’t even have the equipment to road-force balance tires. Apparently, their machine runs on hopes and dreams.
6/2/26 – Road Trip
Took my family to Gulf Shores, AL. At highway speed, the vehicle shook violently basically the entire way.
6/3/26 – Mavis Tire, Gulf Shores, AL
Actually a good experience. Their alignment specialist wasn’t available, but they did what they could to help. They also found abnormal wear on one of my brand-new tires and said it should be covered under warranty. I’ve included photos showing how far off the alignment was.
6/4/26 – Mavis Tire, Cedartown, GA
Returned home with the vehicle still shaking. The damaged tire was replaced under warranty and all four were balanced again.
I AGAIN requested a road-force balance and AGAIN was told, “Yeah, no problem” — despite the store not having the equipment to perform one.
6/6/26 – Mavis Tire, Rome, GA
I went to Rome because I was told they actually had road-force equipment. I specifically requested:
• Alignment recheck
• Road-force balance
• Printout of the results
Afterward, I received a normal balance sheet but no road-force results. The technician told me the tires were “under 20 lbs., so they’re good.”
There was just one problem: I watched the process, and the road-force roller never touched the tires.
When I questioned it, instead of correcting the issue, the technician became frustrated and argued with me in the lobby. I left and haven’t returned to that location.
9/9/26 – Mavis Tire, Cedartown, GA
Because apparently this story needed another episode, one of my four-month-old Mavis Mountaineer tires suffered a sidewall blowout, leaving my wife and daughter stranded.
The lady at the front desk was very friendly, but she wasn’t able to offer much assistance. She told me there is a new store manager who “does right by his customers.”
At this point, I certainly hope so.
Customer Support – June to Present
I’ve made multiple attempts to contact Mavis customer support. I was told the regional manager, Ebony, would call me to resolve the issue.
I’m still waiting.
After five visits, repeated balancing attempts, alignment problems, a warranty tire replacement, a sidewall blowout, and no follow-up from management, my vehicle still rides terribly and I have completely lost confidence in these tires and the service I’ve received. Before this, I had never used Mavis. I definitely regret starting now. I didn’t realize buying four tires came with a four-month subscription to Mavis Tire locations across the Southeast, but here we are. Mavis, if someone in management would like to actually resolve this before Episode 6, I’d be happy to talk.
