⭐ 1-Star Review — Very Disappointed With My Experience
I am extremely disappointed with how this dealership handled my transaction.
I went to the dealership looking for a used vehicle and was allowed to take the Chevy Trax home. I was led to believe the financing was taken care of, but I later learned that the financing had not been finalized and that additional paperwork was still needed.
One of the most concerning parts of my experience was being instructed by the dealership to tell the lender that I was paying $1,500 when that was not the actual arrangement. I was uncomfortable being asked to provide inaccurate information to a lender. I believe customers should never be put in a position where they are asked to misrepresent financial information.
I paid a $500 down payment. When the financing did not go through, the dealership took the vehicle back. I requested my $500 down payment back.
I specifically told the New Car Sales Manager that there is nothing in the contract I signed stating that my $500 down payment would not be returned. I reviewed the contract, and there is no language that I agreed to that says the dealership can keep my down payment under these circumstances.
At this point, the vehicle has been returned to the dealership, the financing was never finalized, and I am still having to fight to get my own money back.
I believe this should have been handled much differently. If the dealership believes it has the right to keep my $500, then I expect them to show me where in the contract I agreed to that.
Customers deserve transparency and honesty when it comes to financing and their money.
I am requesting the return of my $500 down payment and a clear explanation in writing as to why the dealership believes it is entitled to keep it.
I would strongly recommend that anyone doing business with this dealership carefully read every document and make sure they understand exactly what happens to their money if the financing is not finalized.
BEWARE!!! BAIT AND SWITCH.
Leaving one star because otherwise you can't post a review.
On Friday the 14th I was presented an offer after negotiating to purchase a 2026 Silverado stock number 6708 (as of this review still on the lot) and on the 15th accepted their offer and sold the truck I was driving, that their truck would be replacing. Marcus (salesman) and Mr. Cheney (manager?) were the two points of contact I dealt with and Mr. Cheney said he was just trying to "steal a deal" from the local area. I was told they would be delivering the truck on Monday the 17th to my home. On Monday morning I reached out to find out what time and Marcus said he was in a class but confirmed it would be later that day. At 3:12 I missed a call from Lonnie Robinson (upper managment?) and subsquently made contact around 5 that afternoon only to be told he would not be selling me that truck. When I asked what the issue was he said he would not be selling me the truck as he was not going to take a loss and the truck was sold. Managment had already given me a price on the 14th they would sell it for. When I pressed the issue (I was extremly mad) he then said I could pay 3500 more at which time I asked, is it sold or are you just trying to hustle me for more money? So basically they agreed to a price, I sold my truck and then was forced back to square one to start over. I would not reccomend buying from this dealership by putting not only the customer in this position, but your support team/salesman as well.
Very disappointed with my experience at Rincon Chevrolet. I originally came in on 6/4/2026 to purchase a vehicle with a trade-in. The vehicle I purchased had 46,164 miles, and I signed the paperwork and took the vehicle home.
After making payments for about a month, I was contacted and told that the original deal had fallen through and that they had found me a better deal. I returned to the dealership, but no paperwork was signed. I was verbally told by Greg that my interest rate and monthly payment would be lower and that the new contract would arrive in the mail within a few days. It never did.
During this process, I was pulled over by Statesboro Police because my tag had expired. I contacted the salesman, Marcus, and was told that my paperwork was being mailed the next day and that the tag would be included. It never arrived. I was subsequently pulled over again for an expired tag.
Three days later, I finally received a contract in the mail, and it was NOT the deal I had been promised. The interest rate was higher, and the payment was higher. I immediately brought the contract back and told them I did not agree with the terms and did not want the vehicle.
I then spoke with the GM, Harry Cheney, who told me he would make it right by giving me the original deal. I also made it clear that I wanted to return the vehicle, but I was told I could not.
What concerns me most is the mileage reported to Ally. The mileage submitted on 7/1/2026 was reportedly 45,164 miles—the mileage associated with the first deal—when the vehicle actually had 56,741 miles at that time. That is a difference of more than 11,000 miles, and I consider the reporting of incorrect mileage to be extremely serious. There were also issues concerning the pay/income information submitted with the financing, which I dispute.
Now, more than two months later, I STILL do not have a registration or permanent tag because the vehicle has not been properly registered to me. I am being forced to drive on a dealer tag and have already dealt with multiple expired-tag issues.
On 8/18/2026, I told the dealership I was giving the vehicle back. I was told the vehicle had already been paid for by Ally and that if I returned it, I would get a repo on my credit. I was then told they would compensate me for the time I lost from work, the inconvenience, and the hassle they put me through. I have received absolutely nothing.
This entire experience has been unacceptable. I feel that I have been treated terribly throughout this process, and my interactions with the GM were especially disappointing. I came to this dealership expecting an honest vehicle purchase and straightforward financing. Instead, I have dealt with incorrect paperwork, financing terms that did not match what I was told, repeated problems with my registration and tag, disputed mileage reporting, and promises of compensation that were never fulfilled.
I am now taking this matter seriously and intend to consult an attorney regarding the documentation, mileage discrepancy, financing information, registration issues, and the way this transaction was handled.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Rincon Chevrolet to carefully review every document, verify the mileage and financing information independently, and make sure everything you are promised is in writing before taking the vehicle home.
My experience has been extremely frustrating, and I would not recommend Rincon Chevrolet based on how this situation has been handled.
We had such a great experience purchasing our vehicle with Joseph! From the moment we arrived, he was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and we never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision.
Joseph went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our purchase. He answered all of our questions, kept everything straightforward, and made what can sometimes be a stressful experience feel easy and enjoyable.
We truly appreciate Joseph and everything he did for us. If you’re looking for someone who is honest, patient, and truly cares about his customers, we definitely recommend working with Joseph!

If you can ever get anyone to call you back that would be great. I was interested in a F-150 they had. Then I was told it was put on hold. No one ever contacted me back at all to let me know if it sold or not. But it’s still up on the website. I’ve tried calling multiple times no one seems to know how to answer a phone. Even left a voicemail. Nothing. Not sure how you can sell vehicles if you can’t even answer the phone. I was willing to drive out of state to look at this vehicle and consider purchasing… it will not happen now. Don’t waste your time!!! Go somewhere else.
