  This place in their service department is horrible. I bought a brand new 2024 Thor Ace I've had problems since day one. I let them know that there was an air conditioning problem in day one and they told me The generator was not large enough to support both ACs front and back working at the same time. That was a lie. I went in several times to complained about it. They did not even contact Thor one time to try to address my concerns. Just so happens to a friend of mine was a mechanic. I took it to him. He looked at it and said that the AC was not working because it was defective. I called camping world they said to call the manufacturer. I called them and they said never not one time made a ticket on it so now I'm stuck with a AC that does not work. So what issues with the doors coming off the track they never once fixed them correctly. I paid to have it winterized. When I had a D winterized, it Was done wrong. They always have some smile on their face telling you well let me get you this service manager. He's a joke. Nothing ever gets done. You talk to a general Manager, and he always plays dumb. It's been a very bad experience for me. I will never ever ever ever buy anything in camping world . Buyer beware.

  Great selection of campers but we just stopped by in late June with a small toddler and not one person checked on us in the heat when were there for an hour and a half. Additionally, no one offered us waters, the drinking fountain was broken, and the vending machine didnt work correctly. Pretty disappointed that they even expected us to pay for water. All things considered, we were not treated as well as I expected. Would not recommend.

  Jim Anderson at Camping World in Oakwood was fantastic to work with. He took his time with us, answered every question, and showed us more options than we ever expected. He was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, and genuinely nice throughout the entire process. What we appreciated most was that he was never pushy. He gave us the information we needed, let us make our own decisions, and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. At the end, he even took us back to review our final choice and went over everything thoroughly to make sure we understood all the features and details. If you’re looking for someone who is patient, professional, and truly cares about helping customers find the right RV, ask for Jim Anderson. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  I’d like to offer some advice to anyone buying an RV from Camping World and considering the additional package that includes a mechanic’s inspection and customer walk-through: make sure you receive the value you’re paying for. We recently purchased a used RV from the Oakwood, GA Camping World and added this inspection package. Our walk-through lasted only about 30 minutes, despite online comments that a thorough RV orientation can take up to two hours. Shortly after leaving the dealership, we discovered the entry door lock was broken—an issue neither we nor the dealership noticed during the walk-through. The next day, my husband found that the water pump had fallen out of its mounting and into a cabinet. When we contacted Camping World, we were told to bring the RV back. Because we live two hours away and my husband has mechanical experience, we requested the parts be shipped instead, which they did. As we became more familiar with the RV, additional issues surfaced. During the walk-through, we were shown how to use the manual leveling system, but not the automatic levelers—which we found didn’t work. We were shown the living room TV, but not the bedroom TV—which also didn’t work. A continuing inspection at home uncovered even more problems: one side's brake lights were inoperative, a backup light was broken, the running lights above the windshield didn’t work, there was a gap in the windshield seal, and a bird had built a nest—with eggs—in the air filter housing. After reporting these concerns to both the service manager and dealership manager, I was essentially told these issues were to be expected with a used RV. My concern wasn’t that the RV was used—it was that we had paid for an inspection that apparently failed to identify or disclose these problems. Rather than receiving answers or solutions, we were met with indifference. Only after escalating the matter to Camping World’s corporate office did I receive an apology and a gift card to help offset some repair costs, many of which my husband had already addressed himself. My advice to future buyers: before leaving the dealership, ask exactly what was inspected and insist that every system, appliance, light, switch, and feature be tested in your presence. During my conversation with the dealership manager, he acknowledged that some of the issues—particularly the lighting problems—would have prevented the RV from leaving the lot had they been discovered before delivery. Yet because they were found afterward, we were told they had become our responsibility. Today, we’ve repaired nearly everything ourselves except the bedroom TV and windshield seal, and we’re looking forward to our first trip. While we never expected perfection from a used RV, we did expect a thorough inspection, an honest walk-through, and a willingness to address legitimate concerns. The number of overlooked issues and the dealership’s lack of accountability leave me with serious reservations about doing business with this location again. Unfortunately, my experience helps explain the many similar complaints I have since found online.
