I have been an Enterprise customer for well over 20 years, so I am very familiar with the level of customer service and standards I have come to expect from Enterprise. Unfortunately, this particular rental experience had both positive and disappointing moments that I feel are important to share.
I originally reserved an SUV online after my Chrysler 300 had to be serviced at the Dodge dealership on Mount Zion Road. When I arrived at the dealership, I waited approximately an hour and a half for Enterprise to pick me up. I later learned that my reservation had been transferred to the Enterprise location near the Ford dealership on Mount Zion Road.
The young man who picked me up, Darian, was absolutely wonderful. He was attentive, knowledgeable, respectful, courteous, and extremely helpful throughout the process. He was driving a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica, and after seeing the vehicle and being impressed with it, I decided to upgrade my reservation to the Pacifica. Darian made a very positive first impression and represented Enterprise very well.
When I arrived at the Mount Zion location, Max, the Assistant Manager, assisted me with my rental and was able to accommodate my request to upgrade to the Pacifica. I appreciated his willingness to help me with the upgrade.
However, during the required walk-around inspection, I noticed that the vehicle was not properly cleaned. The interior and exterior were dirty, including the tires. I brought this to Max's attention, and he cleaned the vehicle while I waited outside. As a longtime Enterprise customer, I was disappointed because this is not the standard of cleanliness I have come to expect from Enterprise.
Another concern occurred when Max explained that there was a spare tire in the back of the vehicle in case I experienced a flat tire. Unfortunately, during my rental period, I did end up getting a flat tire, only to discover that there was no spare tire available and no apparent way for me to address the situation using the equipment I had been told was there. I had to arrange for assistance and pay to have the tire repaired. I was eventually reimbursed for the repair, and I appreciate that resolution.
I also want to acknowledge Ms. Tiara, the Branch Manager, who contacted me yesterday. She was extremely helpful, understanding, and professional. I explained the entire situation to her, and she took the time to listen to my concerns and address the issues. I truly appreciated how seriously she took my experience.
I also asked Ms. Tiara to share my feedback with Max. Although I felt that some of my concerns were handled somewhat nonchalantly at the time, Max did provide a $20 adjustment toward the tire issue, and I appreciate that gesture.
Overall, I believe Enterprise has excellent employees and a strong reputation for customer service, which is why I have remained a customer for more than 20 years. Darian and Ms. Tiara provided the type of service I expect from Enterprise, and I want to make sure their efforts are recognized.
At the same time, I hope management will use my experience as an opportunity to reinforce vehicle cleanliness, inspection procedures, and communication with customers before vehicles are released. A customer should be able to trust that the vehicle has been properly inspected, cleaned, and equipped before leaving the lot.
I appreciate Enterprise taking the time to address my concerns, and I hope my experience will help improve the process for future customers.
