- LMLaysha MACJun 29, 20261.0Went to the store to get a new battery. My car was sitting for a year. As the battery was being replaced the General Manager Bailey snapped the battery terminal. Though there was corrosion, when I arrived to them it was still in tact. She completely broke the piece. She then said that I can buy a new terminal piece and they can try to put it on. She didn’t try. She looked at it and said they don’t have the tools to do it and told me to go to a shop for them to do it. I asked her to just instead put back in the old battery so I can save the $130 spent on a new battery and just get a new car altogether being that that was my plan at the end of the month anyway. She insisted that if she took the new battery out the car would possibly stop running completely. I asked her “well would this battery at least not cut off on me”. She insured me that it wouldn’t. Since then every single time I turn the car off it needs to be jumped. When returning to the store to see what they can do to compensate me they offered 10% ($1.20) off on purchasing a new battery terminal. So I now have to go pay a mechanic to fix a terminal that she broke. If it was as bad as she stated she should have mentioned it before trying to make a sale. Very unprofessional.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
