He had me make sure the pre drilled holes had the right spacing (they didn’t) and made sure I got a conversion kit that would work with it. It saved me another trip, a headache, and possibly some swearing. A+ customer service, I’ll be back!

As I was walking around the store I wasn’t asked once if I needed help. The workers were hiding at the back counter playing on the computers and their telephones. They would look up at me every so often but go straight back to playing on their phones, when I finally found what I was looking for it took forever to ring up my items. I wasn’t even asked if I was a veteran (which I am) and I had to ask for the discount after the worker rushed to ring me up to go sit back down and play on their phone. I will not be returning to this store i would much rather drive the extra distance to a different location because I have shopped at advance for 30 years!!! 😎

One employee was outside helping someone, but inside, three employees sat around laughing and joking while a fourth literally stood there with his arms crossed, holding up the wall and staring at me. I finally gave up, walked out, and drove down to the Columbia Rd location (#06420), where I was greeted immediately and helped right away. This Washington Rd location could learn a lot about customer service from the professional crew over on Columbia Rd. Don't waste your time here.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
