  My car had a really rough idle scared the crap out of me, brought it for a smoke test turned out to be an unconnected hose i was able to leave free of charge. Good people good service

  Had a great experience with the Gainesville location. Had to get my tire repaired at the last minute before the store was about to close. Called store who said it was not a problem and took care of tire right away within 30 minutes. Found my go to place!

  When the thermostat in my truck stopped working, I pulled into express and was greeted by a technician. I told him it was overheating and that I’d like to have it looked at to asses the situation and potentially have it repaired. He told me the price of a basic diagnostic and I agreed to have it done. After the diagnostic, the technician informed me that I needed to replace the thermostat and that he would also have to drain the coolant and replace it. Being put on the spot in that manner made me more than a little nervous. He estimated the total cost at nearly $600 and said that the thermostat replacement couldn’t be done without the coolant being drained and replaced. I declined the service and paid for the diagnostic. After towing my truck to Gainesville transmission, I was shocked to learn that their estimated for the thermostat replacement, coolant replacement AND an oil change would only cost me $235!! That’s less than half the amount express quoted me without an oil change!!! In addition to their outrageously high cost for service, I felt like express was very dishonest when they told me I had to have new coolant if they were going to replace my thermostat. I also felt pressured to pay. They were also hesitant to give me my keys and after I declined service, they dragged their heels and took their time in giving my keys back. They didn’t provide the honest, thorough and professional experience one would expect from an auto service center and I felt like they were attempting to take advantage of me. The cherry on top was the ridiculous amount of time they took to get my car back to me after I declined their service. Overall, it was a bad experience. Potential customers beware.
