  Went to this location for a couple of pads and rotors. Don’t do it. They will tell you need way more than you do to increase the sale. Check for yourself first. Horrible experience.

  Im not sure if the techs aren't educated right or if they are purposely price gouging. Insisted on rotors need replacement when there was nothing wrong with them. Always get a second opinion before paying their exorbitant prices.

  Very disappointed with my experience at Mavis Tires & Brakes. I brought my truck in to have the brakes checked before an upcoming trip. I wasn’t having any issues, but wanted everything looked over before hauling over Monteagle. They initially quoted me $1,600 for front and rear high-carbon brakes and rotors. I told them there was no way I could do that. They came back with $1,350 as the best they could do. I told them I couldn’t do that either, so I asked for a quote on just the fronts. I ended up paying over $760 for just the front brake pads and rotors. The very next day, while hauling my horses, the brake pedal went to the floor and the brakes started smoking. Thankfully, I was able to safely get off the road. A technician came out and blamed the issue on my trailer brakes and said their work was fine. That explanation doesn’t make sense. Trailer brakes are electric in most cases and operate independently from the truck’s hydraulic brake system. A trailer brake issue should not cause the brake pedal in the truck to suddenly go soft or go to the floor. Being stranded the day after having brake work performed is unacceptable. The staff also did not seem very knowledgeable or helpful throughout the process. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Mavis Tires & Brakes and will be taking my truck elsewhere.

  I’m new to the area so I decided to try this place! I went in and the mechanic gave me a price on my back brakes, and I had previously gotten a price for an oil change, so I knew approximately what I was going to pay in total. BUT The final price was way over $100 more than I was quoted….. but I paid it, hesitantly!!! I went back three days later to discuss it with them and the mechanic wouldn’t reduce the price, although I have been overcharged. So maybe everybody should get a quote in writing before the job starts so they don’t get overcharged unnecessarily, with no hope for fairness. I was very disappointed!!! I was quoted $594, and I was charged over $700. Yikes.
