- JFjules fawcettMay 6, 20261.0I stopped at this gas station today because I only had about 8 miles left in my tank and needed something to hold me over until Friday. I paid $5 in cash, which I’ve done before (even smaller amounts like $3), and it has always increased my gas level. This time, I noticed something was off. The pump didn’t seem to dispense gas normally, and when I got back in my car, my mileage was still at 8 miles and didn’t move at all. I went back inside and spoke to the cashier about it, but I was told their screen showed the transaction went through and that it wasn’t possible for no gas to come out. That didn’t match what I experienced. After that, I drove home, and even after driving, my gas level still did not update at all. My car has never had issues reflecting gas, even with small amounts like this. This was really frustrating because that was my last $5, and I was depending on it to get by until payday. I would really appreciate someone looking into this, because something clearly wasn’t right.
