The part I needed wasn't in-store, but she could get it in this afternoon. However, she would only let me place the order if I came in and paid first. Only then would she have it delivered to the store. This was for a $10 part, might I add. I called O'Reilly and they have the part arriving this afternoon without payment up front. If Advance doesn't want the business, don't even bother picking up the phone next time.

And the manager forced me to take the empty containers with me, claiming that I couldn't throw them away in the trash at his establishment. I found this situation very uncomfortable. I do not recommend that you come and shop at this store

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
