Oil is the lifeblood of every standard vehicle on the road. It's crucial to regularly check your oil and schedule oil change service for your car to ensure it runs properly. Rotating your vehicle's tires is important for maintaining and managing treadwear on your tires, and in some cases is required in order to preserve your tires' warranty.
We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.
Proper wheel and tire alignment helps your car's tires last longer, increases fuel economy, and improves your vehicle's handling. Our highly-trained tire alignment experts are ready to provide you the reliable, quality service you need to get back on the road.
Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.
Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples.
Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.
There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

I had a great experience at Mavis Tires & Brakes in North Decatur thanks to the service manager Naquan. From the moment I walked in, he was professional, transparent, and genuinely helpful.
He took the time to walk me through exactly what my car needed — no upselling, just honest recommendations and clear pricing upfront.
Pricing was fair and matched the estimate down to the dollar.
It’s rare to find someone in auto service who treats you like a person instead of a ticket number. Naquan and the Mavis team earned my trust and my future business. Highly recommend asking for him if you stop by!

Horrible experience. Poor quality of parts and work. They had my car for 4 days. I got the car back and it was un drivable, has missing pieces, did further damage to my car, and charged me for work I did not receive. I now have to pay $3000 more to fix it properly because they refuse to cover the damage. Don’t bother with corporate, they won’t do anything either. I see why they got sued by the State in 2022. I asked Wyatt, the regional manager, if they stand behind this work and he said they do.

First - context. I've been going here for tire related services for over 13 years (before/after Mavis bought the past business here). I scheduled an alignment appointment for 10am. Arrived just before my scheduled appointment. Was told that there are 4 alignments in front of me and that "it might be a while". When I stated ,"but I have an appointment." I was told (and they have rehearsed this line) "your reservation is NOT like a dinner appointment." The appointment, I was further told, only assures your car will be ready before they close that day - nothing more. Any customer who happens to just pull in without an appointment before I arrived gets priority. First come first serve is their policy. I'm ok with this. Just disclose this clearly so customers can plan accordingly. Thought you should know.

They've always done me right & I've used them since they were Kaufman tire that's how long I been going to this location. Usually I make day off or weekend appointments but they've fit me in on other occasions. They are one of the few places that will install Customer supplied parts which is rare these days with shops looking to move overpriced stock vs installing brought in parts. Just used them to install 2 new tires I bought online and a fresh alignment a week ago. Going back next month for a complete R1 brake upgrade on my Acura. My Go too spot!!! Thanks Mavis

I visited the Mavis Tires & Brakes on Church Street in Decatur, GA to have two new front tires installed. I explained upfront that I could only afford to replace the front tires at this time.
During my visit, I felt there was pressure from staff to purchase additional tires for the back, even though I clearly communicated my situation. At one point, I also overheard a comment from staff suggesting that they would “get their money some way,” which made me uncomfortable and concerned.
After leaving, I began noticing that one of my rear tires was gradually losing air over the course of several days, eventually going flat. Upon inspection, I was told that the valve stem on the back tire had been loosened. This had not been an issue before my visit.
While I appreciate having the front tires installed, this experience raised serious concerns for me regarding both the professionalism and the quality of service at this location. I recommend that customers carefully check their vehicles after service and ensure everything is properly completed.
