Very disappointing experience with Enterprise.
I have a valid UAE driving license, which I used to rent from the exact same Enterprise branch three years ago without any issues. This time attendant refused to accept it, claiming it didn’t meet their requirements.
When I asked why, he showed me an international license reference handbook stating that UAE licenses are only valid for two years!? My license shows an issue date of 2011 and an expiry date of 2026, and he insisted that meant it couldn’t be valid because it covered 15 years.
I explained that the original license was issued for 10 years (until 2021) and then renewed for another five years (until the end of 2026). The UAE keeps the original issue date on the license after renewal, which is why both dates appear. I also pointed out that clearly the two years mentioned in their handbook is incorrect , as it only refers to the first time drivers where they are given two years in UAE, not drivers who are renewing where they get 5 years , I explained this over 3 times while showing the references for him , he kept referring to the incorrect manual as the wholly bible of licenses
I also showed him my digital UAE driver’s license, as well as proof that I had previously rented from the same Enterprise branch using the same license, he refused to reconsider or make any effort to verify the information. The interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and unhelpful.
I ended up renting from Sixt using the exact same UAE license without any issues.
Needless to say, I won’t ( and obviously can’t) be using Enterprise again.

Great customer service and convenient to True Automotive where I was having repairs done.
Absolutely amazing and quick with service. Came in because my car need to be repaired and the mechanics knew that it wasn't going to be a same-day job. They sent me the Enterprise and I was not disappointed.

He was the best. Very pleasant, patient, and fast. I was having a bad morning and he made my day so much better and helped me out so much. Nick also helped him when I had questions. A great team overall at this location. I’m very pleased and I won’t go to another location moving forward. They were all very welcoming, pleasant, and helpful.

I would not use Enterprise again. After my vehicle accident, my insurance company sent me to Enterprise for a rental. I drive an electric SUV/crossover, yet Enterprise provided a gasoline sedan that did not meet my transportation needs. Because they do not carry comparable electric vehicles, I had to pay for gas out of pocket and wait for reimbursement from my insurance company.
I also have a pet that I regularly transport, and I was told pets were not allowed in the vehicle. Being involved in an accident is already stressful, and being placed in a vehicle that doesn’t fit your lifestyle only adds to the frustration.
To make matters worse, the vehicle was provided with the fuel gauge on “E,” so my first stop after leaving the location was a gas station. The vehicle was also represented as cleaned, but I have video documentation showing dirty seats and other areas that had clearly not been properly detailed.
The manager later called and offered to switch the vehicle after I had already left, but after dealing with an accident, I was not interested in making additional trips back and forth. The only resolution ultimately offered was a future rental upgrade, which did not address the issues I experienced during this rental.
Overall, I felt the staff showed little concern for the customer experience. The lack of comparable vehicle options, poor vehicle preparation, and lack of meaningful resolution left me very disappointed.
