Someone painted the negative battery terminal and Adonis at the Forest Park location diagnosed the problem and repaired it at no cost, saving me over $500 with parts and labor. --- Came in for battery to be tested and the young manager tested battery , starter, and alternator all within 5 mins. He (young, Black manager, slim with dreads and cap) handled it the right way from start to finish. He tested everything quickly, explained the results clearly, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Turned out my alternator was the real issue, and he helped me understand what was going on so I could make the right repair decision. Professional, straightforward, and honest service. I'll definitely come back to this location.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
