  I was VERY disappointed in my service today at the Cumming location. I take both of my cars here and have been for a while for multiple services. Today upon checking in, I told the tech I keep hearing a hissing sound when I park and turn the car off, like fluid hitting a hot surface and just wanted them to take a peak while they are ALREADY under the car. I assumed it may just be the AC dripping, but find it odd it did not do this for the 1st 10 months I owned the car and only did it the last 60 days. I tell them I am there for my regular oil change. They of course do the upcharge questions about air filter, etc. which is fine to offer but then the tech tried to tell me I was over due for a front and rear differential service on my 2024 chevy tahoe with 34k miles. And funny enough I just had this same valvoline do that service on my husband's GMC truck because he reached 50K miles. I even told the tech that service is not due at 30K for my car and he told me it was and I am incorrect about my husbands car because all manufacturers suggest different mileage for this service. I replied with they are both GM and he just stared at me with confusion. This is false information and this location should be ashamed of pushing unneccesary services to clients. Then when he gave me the total it seemed different than last oil change so I just asked for clarification and sure enough after getting my receipt when I was done there was a "temp surrcharge" on there for zero reason. THEN he gave me my mileage sticker and I have asked this SAME shop, THE SAME people to please manually update my sticker bc I get synthetic oil which lasts longer than 3k miles and they continue to keep telling me well thats not their problem the system auto sets it to 3k..... FIRST this is NOT the customer's problem. This is a BUSINESS problem, if you know the computer only does 3K and someone gets synthetic you should have it part of the work flow to adjust the sticker. After asking him to fix it, the gentleman RUDELY yelled back, well you have to remind me BEFORE I print the sticker to adjust it.. UM NO, it is not my job to tell you how to do yours and then to have an attitude on top it. THEN they said I was done (they did not reset my oil setting in my car, I will just have to do it myself ) AND I asked did anyone look at the hissing noise that I asked about upon check in, they all just looked around at each other and the one guy said oh its just your ac dripping, and I said ok, well its just odd the car did not do this for the first 10 months I owned it but it has only started doing it the last 60 days. and they just rolled their eyes and said well theres a lot of reasons it does it but its just your ac. So not only was told frustrating but beyond below where the level of BASIC customer service.

  This was my second time getting an oil change at the Valvoline in Cumming, and I was extremely satisfied! The process is quick, the price is great, and the people are amazing! They are so kind, respectful, and Didn’t make anything confusing. I will definitely be coming back here for any oil changes in the future!

  This is my favorite location for Valvoline for my oil changes. I don’t even live in this area but the guys here Trent and Hunter are amazing. Their customer service, explaining things and ultimately I leave with the feeling that they appreciate my business and that everything is good with the car.

  This Valvoline location is great! They welcomed me in and pulled up my vehicle history to confirm the type of oil change that I wanted. During the oil change they checked my in cabin air filter, tire pressure, other car fluids and even my battery strength. Getting the for these checks helped me find out that I would need to have my battery replaced soon which I took care of immediately instead of waiting until it died unexpectedly. Everything was taken care of efficiently including resetting my oil light...one less thing for me to do!

  Overall Great Location, but One Employee Ruined the Experience I’ve been coming here for my last few oil changes because this location has always been top-notch. The hospitality is usually wonderful, the mechanics are helpful, they accept coupons easily, and they do thorough checks—including tire pressure—without any hassle. Unfortunately, my visit this past Friday was a completely different story due to one specific person who handled my billing (a heavier-set gentleman). From the start, he had a bad attitude. He checked my front air filter and recommended replacing it for $59. When I politely declined, his demeanor turned noticeably hostle. They charged me $117 for fulsynthetic 150k+ miles oil change. It got worse when I asked if my tire pressure had been checked. He insisted it was done, but I watched the service the entire time and knew it wasn't. When the actual mechanic tried to step in and honestly mention that the tires hadn't been checked yet, the billing guy physically raised his hand to stop the mechanic from speaking and falsely repeated that it was already taken care of. I even showed him the tire pressure warning light still active on my dashboard. He dismissed it, claiming it would turn off after driving 5 miles. I knew he was lying, but I chose not to argue further just to avoid making a scene. I drove 10+miles to come to this shop for their great service. never coming back and never gonna recommend it to anyone. It’s disappointing because the rest of the crew and the business itself are usually great, but this employee's dishonest, rude, and dismissive behavior completely ruined the visit. I hope management addresses this customer service issue, as one bad attitude shouldn't drag down an otherwise excellent team.
