- DDDonna4 days ago5.0I buy all of my Diehard batteries for my vehicles & tractors from this location. My battery was leaking & I was concerned, if it was charging at full capacity. I cleaned the terminals with baking soda & went to Advance Auto to check the battery. Latrice immediately acknowledged me & greeted me with a smile. I told her my battery concerns & she immediately grabbed the unit to test the charge. Latrice is very knowledgeable, has incredible customer service skillsets, makes sure the customer is ordering, or purchasing the correct parts, calls the store directly if they have the part for the customer to pick up, handles volumes of customers with efficiency & accuracy. As I was waiting, she handled 7 customers thoroughly & quickly. My battery tested was charging at full capacity. Latrice is a valuable asset, to Advanced Auto. She is an outstanding employee, extremely professional, has an electrifying personality, knows the customers & how to handle their needs. She also has incredible knowledge of automotive parts & what is required to install them. Advanced Auto is very fortunate, to have an employee as Latrice, who has all the qualities for this position. What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
