I can saw the ended up selling me the glass, they did not install it. Let me start by saying this is an older, car, no rust no issues. I already had all the factory seals for the car, I told this this, they said great that will make it easy. I asked them to come to the house and do it in the garage, they said great. Then when it came time for the appointment I got a phone call saying that I had to bring the car to them, as special tools are needed for older cars. Ok I can do that. I get it to a shop a few weeks later, and am told by the installer that I should have never brought the car in, because of the age and possibly of rust, he also informed me that there is absolutely no way he is using parts I brought with me. Ok I understand their reason why but I with them telling me that it would make it easier on the phone I didn’t understand the issue. But again ok fine just install the windshield, at this point it was 2.5 hours after the appointment time. However this was a blessing in disguise. A bit of back and forth with the installer and the lady at the front desk, I decide not to have he work done as a found another shop to do the work with all the factory parts, but due to a time crunch could not source a windshield in the time I needed the work completed, so I asked Safelite to sell me the glass. They agree, I take the glass to another shop and in less than 45min I have a new windshield. In short Safelite get you people on the phone on the same page as the shop, and also maybe allow people to think outside the box and say no, if that is what the situation calls for. Instead I wasted 2 days and drove an hour to the shop and home after sitting at the shop for a little over 2 hours for no reason. Appointment time was 10 am. The car was finally pulled into the shop at 1125 am. Phone call to me at 1152. 1215 I’m headed home with the windshield in my back seat. I got the glass so thank you for that I guess although I was assigned that I over paid for, but I don’t even care about that.
