If I could give the service department **0 stars**, I would.
On **06/08**, I had my vehicle towed to the dealership because it suddenly stopped working properly. That morning, while driving to LaGrange, I accelerated and my car began sputtering before coming to a complete stop. I purchased this vehicle in **2024** and have had every service performed at Shottenkirk in Cartersville.
I was informed there would be a $195 diagnostic fee to determine the problem. After a few hours, I was told the issue was the air intake hose. The technician's notes stated:
"Found turbo intake pipe blown off the turbo. Readjusted the pipe back into the turbo and performed idle learn procedure. No more issues found at this time."
The problem is that in **August 2025**, Shottenkirk Cartersville installed a **brand-new turbo** because my vehicle had a rattling noise whenever I accelerated. Given that history, it appears the intake pipe issue was related to the previous turbo installation performed by the dealership.
I questioned why I should be responsible for paying a diagnostic fee for what appears to be an issue resulting from work previously completed by Shottenkirk. I also asked how this could have happened and whether I would be expected to pay another diagnostic fee if the same issue occurred again. Neither question was ever answered.
Eventually, the $195 fee was waived, but that's not the point. Customer service matters just as much as the repair itself.
I was told that the service manager, Tyler Bone, would call me to discuss the situation. As of **07/06**, I still have not received that phone call. Failing to follow through on something as simple as a promised callback reflects poorly on the dealership's commitment to its customers.
Is losing a loyal customer really worth $195?
I expected better from a dealership that has serviced my vehicle since I purchased it. Unfortunately, this experience has left me very disappointed.

I had a great experience during my oil change! Emily, who helped me at checkout, was incredibly friendly. She explained everything clearly without making me feel pushed into any extra services. That kind of customer service goes a long way, and she made the whole experience pleasant. I’ll definitely be back!
Chris went above and beyond to help me throughout the entire car-buying process. He stayed late to make sure my deal was completed and treated me with kindness, respect, and professionalism from start to finish. He worked hard to help me find the right vehicle within my budget, and his patience, honesty, and willingness to help made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

Huge shout out to Kolby Reynolds at Shottenkirk Honda for going above and beyond to get me into a new car that I wanted and made it fit my budget. He and the team did everything they could to help me get the most for my trade-in despite the negative equity it carried.
