  Our windshield cracked & the insurance company gave us the info for Safelite & another company. I scheduled Safelite online. It was easy & I had my choice of appointment time. My technician Tristan was fabulous! He communicated well and was efficient with the replacement. My only suggestion to Safelite is to include the $40 recycle fee in the initial quote. It’s frustrating to see one easy payment of $289 or whatever and then see the quote is $40 higher when you go to pay.

  One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had which is saying a lot since I usually never complain. I called and booked an appt for a Saturday with a time window from 1pm to 6pm. I was informed I needed to ensure I had a garage/cover to ensure the weather wouldn’t cause a cancellation. So I took off of work for the day of the appointment and also purchased a $150 canvas tent to put the car under incase of inclement weather. The day of the appt arrived and no one ever showed. No communication, no phone call, no text, absolutely nothing. So I lost out on a day of pay from work and the $ spent on the cover. If I live to be 150 yrs old I will never use/recommend safelight. Can’t imagine a business being so poorly managed with no regard for the customer. Also, I was quoted $280 for the service which was agreed upon, and on the day they were supposed to arrive, I received an email confirming they would be there and the cost mysteriously rose to $342. SMH….worst experience ever.

  I will never use Safelite again for windshield replacement. My 5 hour replacement window at my house turned into safelite having my car for 14 days. My car sounded terrible after the first windshield replacement and failed calibration. Safelite put in a second winshield that also failed to calibrate. My camera was damaged so I had to further involve insurance for a rental car and new camera. When I picked it up and drove away, I realized that they had also damaged my sun visor and it would no longer fully close. When I shared my issues with friends and family, I learned that many other people have had issues with Safelite. Do your homework. Find someone else!
