I’ve been to this location multiple times and have always had positive experiences, which is why this visit was so disappointing.
Unfortunately, my interaction with Ricky was completely unacceptable. My almost 80 year old mother simply asked a question about a fee that had been charged for a diagnostic after an oil light appeared, and instead of calmly explaining it, Ricky raised his voice and began yelling at her. The situation escalated to the point that I had to get on the phone myself just to de-escalate the conversation.
There’s never a reason to speak to a customer that way, especially when they’re asking a reasonable question. We weren’t refusing to pay or being confrontational, we were looking for clarification.
Customer service is just as important as the work being performed, and this experience fell far below the standard we’ve come to expect from this location. I hope management addresses this because no customer should be treated with that level of disrespect.
Dameon B changed my oil for me and was a pleasure to speak to and he got it done in a very timely manner. 10/10 would recommend.

I've been bringing my older Mazda SUV to Express for years now. I can't believe I haven't left a review yet! My experience has always been good. When I went in for a standard oil change recently, Tiffany recommended an enhanced tire inspection due to uneven wear on my front tires.
The result of the inspection was that I needed shocks and struts. No big shock on a car this old. The crew here is always so friendly and honest. Really, there have been times where they could have tried to up-sell me or add on work that is unneeded, but they never do. Ricky and Keith helped me out and the price was fair.
The work was done quickly and matched my original quote. I am so thankful to have a local mechanic that takes care of me and also has fantastic customer service. My Mazda is driving so much smoother now. Thanks, guys!

I always enjoy the quick, professional service at Express Oil Hickory Flat. Today, Tiffany was a great help and very engaging while waiting for the oil change. And like always, they made sure I was aware of upcoming service needs for the next visit. Thank you
Went to the dealership to get a taillight bulb replaced that was under warranty.
They kept it for 8 days and said they're going to have to order a part. So I left without the repair.
Today I pull into Express Oil Change in Hickory flat, I tell them I have a burnt out the tail light bulb, Walter, and another guy, I can't remember his name, come out, replace the bulb and get me on my way in about 5 minutes. These guys were funny, I didn't have to go in and register and go through the motions of driving to the bay, they just came out to me and had me back in the streets asap.
THIS, this right here is customer service. These guys are the Chick-fil-A of the automotive industry, these two individuals as well as the team at Express Oil Change.
Great job team call I'm coming back for all of my Automotive needs.
