- JRJohnny RixJun 12, 20265.0Mrs Denise at advance in Blackshear goes above and beyond to make sure her customers leave happy. Called the store about wheel studs and nuts for my lawn mower/tractor. She couldn’t find them in the computer so she recommended I come in if possible so we could see if we could find the right studs. I’d already called around and nobody had them but I needed them desperately. So I went to the store and she went through all the wheel studs in stock until we found the right ones. I thanked her a million times before I left because I had a job to complete and couldn’t without those wheel studs for my lawn mower/tractor. Need more employees like her.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
