Definitely big shout out to Chloe for helping me with getting a new battery for my car, we were able to purchase the battery and have someone install it for us all within about 20 mins. She was so kind and even explained the price of the battery and all of that. A stressful day did a complete 180 and I’m so so grateful to her.

I went to AutoZone to quickly top off my oil, but while in the parking lot my car suddenly started throwing warning lights and died due to a failing battery. I was left stranded right outside their store.
I walked inside and asked the employees for help, but they refused, claiming it was their policy not to provide any outside assistance after 8:30pm because the manager strictly enforces it. They wouldn’t even step outside to help.
There is no such policy. Their refusal was nothing more than laziness and terrible customer service. Being abandoned in their parking lot after dark was incredibly disappointing, and I will never return to this location.
Litterly on simple request after an unexpected situation accrued keep in mind I asked them at 8:38 …………. Thankfully I had a person jump start me after 2 hours of being stuck….. I just saw them leav on their cars back to their house like nothing after asking them their like no Srry I don’t have jumper cables……

I had an excellent experience at Advance Auto Parts on 6521 Roswell rd. thanks to Phillip. From the moment I walked in, he was professional, patient, and genuinely focused on helping me get exactly what I needed. He took the time to answer my questions, made sure I understood my options, and didn’t try to rush me or upsell anything unnecessary.
What really stood out was his knowledge and attitude—he clearly knows his stuff and takes pride in providing great customer service. It’s not every day you come across someone who goes out of their way to make the process smooth and stress-free.
Because of Phillip, I’ll definitely be coming back to this location for any future car needs. Great service like that deserves to be recognized.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?
Expand FAQ item
Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
