- SSS.AMay 2, 20261.0Never have I ever patronized a place that cannot change a price that is clearly incorrect. The label on the shelf says $34.99 the register rings up $49.99…… where’s the problem? So as a consumer you mean to tell me… that although your items are labeled “correctly” and are in the correct place on the shelf you as the manager will not and can not change to price to reflect the correct price at the register… the one that’s clearly labeled on the shelf UNDER the item. Futhermore, there is NOTHING on that shelf for $49.99 and the same item online is priced at $34.99. Make it make sense smh. Went to Auto Zone got what I needed, no problems at all.

Worst store ever an employee showed up a half hour after the store was supposed to be open, he sat around for 10-15 minutes waiting for I'm guessing the opening manager,who was a no show. Said employee got into his truck and just left. Store never opened. This store needs to do some evaluating of its employees.

Does Advance Auto test and install batteries?
Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Typically a car battery will last 2-5 years, with premium batteries lasting 5-6 years. But you should replace it every 4 years for safe measures if you want to avoid any unwanted problems.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
