- PMPrince MorrisOct 25, 20261.010/25/2026 at approximately 5:07 PM I returned to pick up my battery that was charging. This battery is a little more than two months old and leaks like a faucet from the top caps(White/greenish chalky like substance). (A $300+battery)I told the manager well at least that’s what he called himself (Cato) that I wasn’t happy with this battery and to exchange it. This man tells me the leak came from my car…wth really(where)?and it’s clear as day that the battery is leaking. He said he never seen anything like it before and I immediately believed him just because this man upon starting to charge my battery he hooks the positive to the negative and the negative to the positive so that told me a lot as an employee at an automotive shop. I tell him you hook the cables up wrong he then says oh yeah I did…. like duh…He also asked me to pick it up and put it on the charging machine behind the counter(that’s their job )no courtesy or customer service professionalism at all.All in All he tells me to return the following day to talk to another manager, a female manager over him……I was so pissed while writing this review I forgot to add the pics of him and this disgusting looking battery. Some people say don’t deal with AutoZone no don’t deal with advanced auto parts…Look up the definition of joke and see who’s pic will pop up

Seeing only ladies in a parts store was a surprise, however they went above and beyond AND they know cars. HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
