Unfortunately, I felt that I was treated differently and with less respect because I do not speak English like a native American. I have an accent, and like many immigrants, my English may not be perfect. However, that should never be a reason to receive poor or disrespectful customer service. I understand that communication can sometimes be difficult, but basic respect, patience, and professionalism should be the same for every customer. I left the store feeling disrespected and judged because of the way I speak English. I hope the management takes this seriously and addresses this type of behavior. No customer should be treated differently because of their accent or because English is not their first language.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
