  Someone Else’s Poop in My Brand-New RV I bought a brand-new RV from General RV just 10 days ago. I had absolutely no intention of using the toilet because I didn’t want to deal with emptying the black tank. I didn’t even buy RV toilet paper. This was my first camping trip with the RV, and I only wanted to practice dumping the gray tank. Instead of going to a dump station, I opened the tank valve over a bucket from Home Depot just to see how the process worked. Since I had never used the toilet, I assumed the black tank would be completely empty. To my absolute shock, when I opened the black tank valve, human waste, urine, and toilet paper came pouring out. I was furious and disgusted. If I had actually used the black tank myself, why on earth would I open the valve into a Home Depot bucket? The fact that sewage came out proves that the tank contained waste before I ever took delivery of this RV. General RV sold this unit to me as a new RV. Nobody disclosed that it had been used, that it had been through RV shows, or that anyone had used the toilet. Even if it had been displayed at a show, how does that justify delivering an RV with human waste still sitting in the black tank? I genuinely cannot understand how a “new” RV can be delivered with someone else’s feces, urine, and toilet paper inside the black tank. Having to clean up someone else’s waste from a brand-new RV is one of the most disgusting experiences I’ve ever had as a customer. If you’re buying a new RV from General RV, I strongly recommend opening the black tank valve and verifying that the tank is empty before taking delivery. If they’re confident in their inspection process, they shouldn’t have any problem letting you check. I hope nobody else has to go through the experience of buying a “new” RV and then cleaning up someone else’s sewage.

  We went to several RV stores. This was by far the best ever. Great experience all the way around. They’re not pushy and just overall a great place to do business with. Our salesman Clayton did an awesome job. I recommend this place and its people.

  The Winter Garden, Florida center was a pleasure to work with. This is our first RV (Brinkley I280). We initially signed a contract at the Orlando RV show for a Z2700, but it was determined before pickup that a fifth wheel wouldn’t work with the lift and tires of our f250, even though we were assured by multiple experts at the show that it would be close but ok. Thankfully, the techs in Winter Garden didn’t send us off in an unsafe rig and we were able to work out an agreement on a similar layout in a pull behind. (Saved some $ too!) Samantha spent a couple of hours with us on the morning we picked it up and went though everything we need to know about our rig. They installed a few extra items we wanted (snap pads and vent covers) and we were on our way.
