Marc Jackson at General RV Center was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and professional throughout our visit. Although we didn’t close the deal this time, he answered all our questions and made the experience very pleasant. We hope to return soon and finalize the purchase with him. I highly recommend asking for Marc!

i’m not happy with RV General and I want to speak with a manager the first part when you buy the camper is fine. It’s when you’re leaving is where all our disappointment came our tutor had broken English so it’s hard to understand then the gentleman that hooked us up couldn’t speak English so he didn’t teach my husband anything about the hitch or how to hook it up also, there was an item that needed to be repaired and we were told that it was going to be fixed, which is a Shade window and when you push it up, it doesn’t stay up so we left there being told one thing to get home to find out it was never fixed and I’m not driving two hours back for something that I was told was fixed. Also, we almost left there without the brake module hooked up that we purchased for $300 and wound up standing in the hot sun at our age is trying to figure out an app tech technologies is not that easy for 60-year-olds that should’ve been done before we even left the showroom in the AC.

Purchased my 2nd travel trailer from this location but in fairness has only been owned by General RV for the last purchase. They were courteous at the time of purchase and told my wife and I about the warranty coverage of the manufacturer “Forest River” and the individual coverages of the appliances that the trailer had , ie refrigerator, tankless hot water heater , Ac unit , etc . We previously had some problems with our last travel trailer “ Grand Design” so I asked if there was an additional warranty that we could purchase. The finance person was happy to sell us a 48month Cornerstone coverage ($4800) that would cover manufacturing defects with a $200 deductible per occurrence . Fast forward 18months and a handful of fun holiday excursions in the Forest River . I noticed a torn slide seal upon set up on our last trip . We also noticed that the AC was really struggling to keep the trailer under 80 degrees. Upon completion of our last trip I decided to make an appointment and drop the trailer off to the General RV service department . I contacted the service department and spoke to someone named Manny and explained to him that I had purchased the trailer there and had extended warranty. After a couple of minutes, he was able to locate me in their system and see that I had purchased a cornerstone warranty. When I arrived to drop the trailer off to my Service writer Manny, I was told that he was tied up with another customer and he would be right with me . After a few minutes at the service counter One of the other Service writers wrote me up for my two complaints. After a week or so I received a call from Manny stating the trailer was complete and ready for pick up . When I inquired about what repairs were made I was told the slide seal was replaced and I needed a new AC unit . I asked if they had replaced the AC unit in Manny explained that I would have to pick up the trailer, pay the deductible for both jobs and after 2 to 6 weeks, they would call me and tell me if the claim was authorized and whatever I had paid in deductible would go toward the repair if there’s any coverage. That part was pretty spotty and he couldn’t exactly tell me why I was paying the deductible only that I had to pay it. Because this is a luxury item for us I never stress over the $ and told him that I would pick it up . Manny made it a point that I needed an appointment to pick it up which I love because I don’t like waiting for things , 11:00 Tuesday it was. Because I didn’t feel great about paying both deductibles for only one job that was completed I decided to call the store and ask to speak with the service Manager listed on the website ( Sara Linenkugel) prior to pick up that morning but I was told she was out of the office on vacation so i basically just conceded to picking the trailer up and paying the deductibles , it’s really not about the money . Upon arrival I noticed that the trailer wasn’t out front and staged for pick up, when I walked into the service counter I was told that Manny was in a meeting with the service manager and another customer. I waited for 15 or 20 minutes before starting to get restless because I had two dogs in my truck while it was running and was anxious to hook up and get out of there. Finally, after about 40 minutes, I saw Manny walk out of one of the offices with a woman that seemed like she might be the service manager, they were dealing with a customer that appeared to have just purchased a new trailer with a couple of problems. Finally, one of the people that work there that I believe was a service receptionist mentioned to Manny that I was waiting for him and he brought me to the counter handed me off to the cashier without really answering any questions who collected my credit card payment ($426 )and asked the staff to bring my trailer out. After paying the bill with both deductibles, I found a third-party that explained to me that the Coleman AC unit had a factory warranty of two years and that my extended warranty coverage wasn’t needed. The repair was made and the unit works properly to date.
