  Came in for a wheel alignment as my car started pulling to one side recently and was told my almost new 2025 Lexus with 20K miles needed brand new tires. Told my wheels were “bald”. I measured them myself and definitely not bald even took the car immediately to another tire shop for a second opinion and was told my tires were fine. I’m not sure who to trust but definitely these people were either trying to avoid doing the alignment on a busy Monday or trying to make money off a “dumb” young female.

  Stay away. I got a nail in my tire. This shop in Wesley Chapel was the closest tire repair so I pulled in. They said they couldn’t repair the tire because the tread was too low (50K miles on them) so I agreed to purchase 4 new Mavis brand tires. On the drive home one of the tires (different from the one with a nail) went flat. I took it back the next day and they said the rim was bent and accused me of damaging it on the way home - which I did not. I had, however, unbeknownst to me, had a small bend in the rim from a pothole incident two years earlier that was apparently never caught. Tire kingdom decided to install the new tire on the bent rim and didn’t feel it was necessary to tell me. They then overinflated the tire and sent me on my way telling me to get the rim repaired. A couple weeks later a different tire started making a noise. Within a couple days it got louder and the car started making a vibration. In resolving these issues - getting the rim repaired showed they had put 12.5oz of weights on that tire to “balance” it. The other tire making the noise? Had only hand-tightened and thus loose lug nuts. (Super dangerous!! It could have fallen off putting me and my children in danger) And a third tire was discovered to be not round, had noticeable radial runout. When I spoke to the company they told me it’s standard practice to install on a bent rim and not mention to the customer. They didn’t want to “make me feel bad”. They would replace the radial runout tire but would charge me for labor and balancing. Well excuse me, but 1. I don’t trust their installs and 2. I’m not paying one more penny. When I complained to corporate management only then did they offer to replace the wheel for free. What a nightmare. Stay away. Stay far away.

  I have been using this shop mainly for tires issues, buying, balance etc and every time the process goes smoothly and fast. Also I like the clearness of the shop

  I would NEVER trust this Tire Kingdom location with my vehicle after what I witnessed today. I brought my car in for one simple service: tire balancing. I was inside the shop where I could see the technician bring my vehicle into the bay. Almost immediately, I watched him start writing on the paperwork. Shortly afterward, the person at the counter called me over and told me that I needed to replace all but one of my tires because they were supposedly at 2/32” of tread. There was just one problem: I had been WATCHING the technician. He had not measured the tread depth. I told the counter employee that I knew I would eventually need to replace some of the tires, but they were not even close to 2/32”. I also pointed out that I had literally watched the technician and he had never measured them. His response? He told me the 2/32” was “obvious” because the tires were BALD. That was enough for me. I told them to get my vehicle out of the shop immediately. I wasn’t going to let them perform anything else on my car. Once you give me a specific measurement that I just watched your technician NOT take, you’ve lost my trust. And here’s the best part. AFTER I got my vehicle back, I measured the tread depth myself. The lowest measurement I found was 4/32” on one side of one tire. Two of the other tires measured approximately 5/32” and 6/32”, and the fourth measured approximately 8/32” because that tire is relatively new. Not 2/32”. And certainly not four “bald” tires. Before telling a customer his tires are bald and documenting a specific 2/32” measurement, perhaps actually MEASURE THEM first. And they picked the wrong customer to try this with. I was a Service Manager for Pep Boys in Texas for TEN YEARS. I know what 2/32” looks like, I know how tread depth is measured, and I know the difference between recommending that a customer start planning for tire replacement and telling him his tires are already at 2/32”. What makes this even worse is that I wasn’t arguing that my tires were new. I KNOW some of them will need replacement. That’s not the issue. The issue is documenting a specific measurement without taking that measurement and then trying to justify it by saying the tires are “obviously bald.” I don’t know who trains these people or what kind of sales practices are being encouraged at this location, but after this experience, it certainly FELT like they were trained to rip you off and lie straight to your face like there’s no tomorrow. Be sure you understand what “bald” means before trying to sell someone tires based on a measurement you didn’t take. Wrong guy to play that game with. I came in ready to PAY THEM for a tire balancing. I left without allowing them to perform any service because I no longer trusted them with my vehicle. Based on what I personally witnessed, I will NEVER do business with this location again. If you take your vehicle here, watch what is actually being done, ask to see the measurements yourself, and verify everything before authorizing additional work.
