  I got an oil change and they replaced the oil filter. Tyler handled the process and all the employees were very thorough and friendly. I will return there again.

  Yesterday I stopped at Valvoline in Valrico with my girlfriends car for an oil change and our car was running fine when I got there. At this location they suck the oil out. We get full sythetic oil and it was 4,809 miles since our last oil change. The guy was saying my oil was very dark and it was. I was not happy about it. He was also saying the oil was low because not enough oil was coming into his machine. He tried to sell me on an engine treatment which I declined. I began questioning him about the black oil. It is only the 2nd time I have had that car at valvoline and the other places I go to drain it. I asked him if it would be better to drain it to make sure more of the dirty oil gets out. He assured me it was fine. Eventually I notice they pull another machine over to the car to suck more oil out because by the time the other one had quit sucking oil. They got alot more oil out and did the math. I heard them adding how much this machine got and howmuch that machine got and they were satisfied that they got it all. Mind you our car has no oil leaks and no engine lights. After they are done I checkout and leave and the car is in limp mode. I turn around and go back because the car is undriveable. They look at it and determine the air filter was installed backwards. They use a scan tool and get a P0101 code. The manager predicted it. It was a dirty mass air flow sensor caused by the filter being installed backwards. Their solution was to have the vehicle towed to firestone a few blocks away and let them fix it. I did not have that much time to waste so One of your employees was kind enough to give me a ride home about a mile so I could get another vehicle and go to Advance auto parts store and pay 198.00 for the sensor and remove 2 little screws and put it in . It was a 5 min job. How do you think I should feel about this experience? Should I trust that Valvoline gets all of the dirty oil out of my car? Should I trust them to put the air filter in correction? Are they actually changing my oil filter? I am questioning why my oil is jet black after 4800 miles and it has not been an issue until 2 trips to valvoline where they do it differently than everyone else. We take care of our stuff. I do not think I can trust valvoline anymore. I will take my car to Meineke from now on. I think Valvoline should at the very least pay for the mass air flow sensor I had to buy.
