  Came here with my own tune up kit (ignition coils and spark plugs) yesterday I called and was quoted $199 for the labor, I came in this morning and they tried to charge me nearly $800 saying that it's because they have to remove the exhaust manifold which is ridiculous because you do not need to remove and exhaust manifold for a tune up, you may need to remove the upper intake plenum but the manifold stays in place. They charged the $199 for the exhaust manifold removal and $459.98 for labor with customer parts! Absolute robbery! Last time I come to this location. I ended up finding someone to do it for $200 at another shop. The only reason I came to get this done is because I work 12 hour shifts over night and do not have the time to do it myself, yet they talk to me as if I do not know my way around my own truck, very unprofessional to say the least.

  Larry B. And the crew were awesome. Friendly, respectful, funny. And when they found something I did to my car that was kind of embarassing, rhey didn't make me feel worse about it than the normal embarrassment, rhey were very reassuring and encouraging instead.

  The guys here were very helpful and accommodating to my budget and worked with me to get everything my car needs! Adam was especially nice and even taught me how to change the cabin filter myself for next time. I didn't feel taken advantage of for my lack of knowledge about cars or pressured into buying things I dont really need like some places try to do. They also didn't take long at all! I highly recommend this place.

  I recently visited Jiffy Lube for a routine oil change and left feeling extremely uncomfortable with the experience. During my visit, I was told that my brakes urgently needed to be replaced and that my vehicle was unsafe to drive—something that immediately raised concern given that my car is less than a year old, was purchased brand new, and has had very minimal driving. Just days prior, I had my brakes inspected by a trusted mechanic who advised that while there was slight wear, the brakes were still in very good condition and appeared nearly new—largely because the vehicle was not driven regularly during the first six months of ownership. The contrast between that professional assessment and what I was told here is hard to ignore. As a woman who was alone at the time of service, the urgency and tone used during this interaction felt particularly concerning. Being told not to drive my vehicle due to safety issues, despite recent confirmation that the brakes were in good condition, came across as unnecessarily alarming and felt more like pressure than genuine concern. It created an uncomfortable situation where I felt my understanding was being underestimated rather than respected. The overall interaction felt less like honest guidance and more like an attempt to push unnecessary services. This type of fear-based upselling is inappropriate and erodes trust. No customer should feel that their judgment or knowledge is being dismissed—especially during a routine visit. I strongly encourage others to seek second opinions when presented with urgent recommendations and to choose service providers who prioritize transparency, professionalism, and respect.

  Yesterday, my wife went to Jiffy Lube Store #3416, operated by Atlantic Coast Enterprises LLC, on Bell Shoals Road in Valrico for a routine oil change. During the visit, she called me clearly concerned after being told that the rear brakes needed immediate replacement at a cost of approximately $500. Our experience was disappointing for the following reasons: We came in for a standard oil change, but were presented with an urgent and costly repair recommendation. The recommendation was communicated in a way that caused unnecessary concern about the safety of the vehicle. Because of the urgency described to her, I asked my wife to take the car directly to our regular mechanic for a second opinion. Our mechanic inspected the brakes and advised that they still have approximately 12,000 miles of service life remaining. That assessment was completely inconsistent with what my wife had been told at Jiffy Lube. This experience left us with the impression that unnecessary pressure was being applied to authorize repairs that were not actually needed at this time. Our concerns are: Customers may feel intimidated into approving expensive work on the spot. Safety-related language can create fear, especially when presented as urgent. Recommendations should be accurate, transparent, and supported by the actual condition of the vehicle. We value and want to support local businesses, but that support must be earned through honesty, professionalism, and fair treatment of customers. Based on this experience: We will not return to this location. We would encourage others to seek a second opinion before approving major repairs recommended during routine service visits. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and, in our view, not an example of the kind of trustworthy customer service a local business should provide.
