  I had a very positive experience at the Sixt Tampa Airport location. My wife and I were visiting Tampa and rented a vehicle for our trip. The representative who helped us at the counter was friendly, professional, and patient with my questions. He clearly explained the charges, made sure we understood the rental details, and did not pressure us to purchase anything extra. I prefer speaking with a person rather than using digital checkout, and this experience reminded me why — the customer service was respectful, helpful, and reassuring. I really appreciated the smooth pickup experience.

  My flight was delayed by one hour on May 1 - from 12:45am to 1:45am. I hustled straight to the Sixt counter but all of the agents had left. I called Sixt at 2:06am and they said I would have to wait until Sixt reopened in the morning. I told them no and that I needed to cancel. They refused to issue a refund! I travel every week and this was my first and last time reserving with Sixt!

  I’ve been renting from this rental car company for quite a while, and overall I’ve always had an amazing experience. The cars are usually in great condition, clean, reliable, and high quality. Most locations provide excellent customer service and make the rental process smooth and easy. My only disappointing experience was at the San Francisco Airport location, where the customer service was not up to the standard I’m used to from this company. Despite that, I still continue renting from them because my experiences at other locations have consistently been positive. Overall, I highly recommend this rental car company for their quality vehicles and generally great service.

  Best rental company experience I’ve ever had when I flew into Tampa in April of 2026. (Obviously if there are employee and company policy changes, this might be different from/for your experience). First off, rates for premium cars was very good. The app usage was easy. The front desk made me feel like a valued customer from a simple quick 30 second question/interaction I had. The pick-up/drop-off counter was very cordial and helpful. We got an upgrade, not a downgrade (like some places) for the car we rented. I saw a small dent on the trunk of the car while still at the airport- and sure enough, when I went on the app, it was a relief to see that it was already logged in the system and I didn’t have to worry about being accused of it being my fault. Car was very clean and well maintained overall. Bottom line, when you fly into Florida, you’re probably flying in to enjoy a vacation. These guys have me a great start for my trip, not a bad start like some other places might with extra fees and long lines and hassles. I’d totally use again.

  they tried to say we left a scratch on the windshield, that it was scratched "down to the primer." what a joke! we had the car for a short time with fairly minimal use. the windshield as well as the rest of the car was never scratched. It's extremely difficult, practically impossible to scratch a modern car windshield down to anything resembling a "primer" through normal car use. windshields aren't painted like car body panels. they're made of laminated safety glass. the outer surface is real glass which is resistant to scratches especially deep scratches. we asked for proof and were sent a picture that did not show any scratch. we have rented many cars and have never had claims that we damaged a car. this company tries to scam people out of money for fake damage claims. we will never use them again.
