I don’t like writing negative reviews, but in this case I feel it is necessary. Every April, we rent a 15-passenger Sprinter van for our trip to Augusta, Georgia for The Masters. The van is used to transport VIP guests. In previous years, we never had any issues — it was always a clean, black 15-passenger van with relatively low mileage. This year, after introducing myself, I was first offered a 12-passenger white Sprinter that was extremely dirty inside and out — it looked like it had been heavily neglected. Of course, I declined. After a phone call, the employee suggested I go to another location, saying they had the van I needed. I drove there, but it was the same situation — another white 12-passenger van, only slightly cleaner than the first. After about two hours, they finally located a black 15-passenger van, and a secretary delivered it to me. By that point, I had already spent around five hours dealing with this situation. When I inspected the vehicle, I found multiple issues: DEF level was at the red line (risk of limp mode with reduced power and speed limitations) Engine oil warning indicated it was below minimum and needed immediate top-up Fuel tank was nearly on reserve Maintenance sticker showed the oil change was overdue by approximately 8,000 miles Tire pressure was below recommended levels The cigarette lighter / power outlet for navigation did not work I spent another two hours addressing these issues myself because we had to leave at 5 a.m. the next morning. I honestly don’t understand how a business can continue operating with this level of vehicle maintenance and customer service.

This is the second time that we used Enterprise for long time vacation car rental. Our entire experience from initial reservation through return on both occasions was flawless. Customer service was great throughout and no gotcha “surprises”. We’ll definitely keep using Enterprise.

This is the second time I have made a reservation with this location online. Every time I am allowed to make a reservation and then when I show up, they never have the car that is reserved. The first time, they found a vehicle for me but I saw many people upset that they had the same issue. Today they tried to force an upgrade not a free upgrade, to upsell a bigger vehicle. Under no circumstances should people be allowes to reserve a vehicle you don't have on the lot and if the only vehicle you have left is a bigger vehicle we shouldn't be charged given the inconvenience. I have been offered free upgrades when traveling without asking for one for no reason, yet when you run out of vehicles I have to pay for the inventory not being accurate online. Make it make sense.

I made a reservation with Enterprise, arranged transportation, and showed up expecting a car—only to be told “we’re out of cars.” So what exactly is the point of a reservation? This wasn’t a walk-in. This was a confirmed booking that I relied on for travel plans. I was literally dropped off at your location with no backup options, no accountability, and no real solution offered. Just a shrug and a “sorry.” If you don’t actually have vehicles available, stop taking reservations. It’s misleading at best and completely irresponsible at worst. What makes it worse is the lack of urgency or care. No effort to secure a car from another location, no meaningful compensation, nothing. Just left stranded. This is the kind of experience that makes people lose trust in a brand entirely. I will not be using Enterprise again after this.
