  My experience with Alamo/Enterprise in Wilmington NC airport was one for the books. The rental car was nice and ran smooth but I will say check the car over and over again when you go to turn it in because the worst possible thing happened to me. I returned the van and accidentally left behind my AirPod pro max’s, my computer charger and my keys to my home. My AirPods were stolen by a worker there and luckily I have find my on my device and my mom and I ended up retrieving them from the person at their residence and getting the police involved. That employee was fired so I do appreciate that however my computer charger and key lanyard just disappeared into thin air apparently. Very disheartening but I take responsibility for leaving the stuff behind. Just make sure you double check everything before you turn in your car or you might end up like me.

  I can't vouch for every location, but renting and returning a vehicle out of TPA is a breeze. Everything is in a garage so covered out of the weather; no bus, just take the airport transport train that feeds ALL of the rental companies. When returning, the overhead signs and directions are very easy to follow; drop off vehicle and a 1 minute walk to the escalator, back to the airport transport to the main terminal...EASY. The only thing to be aware of if you reserve on a CHASE Visa credit card; the name on the reservation has to match the name on the credit card reserving the ride...problem is CHASE now sends out new credit card accounts with multiple family members separate account numbers tied back to the main account...so i reserved on card ABC, then CHASE mailed out my new card with number XYZ...Alamo did not like that when I treid to exit the garage..no fault of theirs, this is on CHASE

  Disappointed with Alamo at TPA. Past +10 years, Alamo has consistently delivered excellent service throughout the US, until yesterday at Tampa International Airport. When I returned the car, two people instead of the usual one person checked on the rental car. One person had no problem with my return, and thanked me for the good return. However the second person wanted to know my car insurance carrier, so the company can possibly report a 2mm crack on the front bumper. I was very surprised there was a crack, since I’m a very careful driver, and only drove two days for five minutes from my sister’s house to visit mom. I do not recall bumping into anything or was bumped by anyone, since I had designated parking spots. I truly hope Alamo is an honest company and can accurately review their video (supposedly cameras took pictures of the car at checkout booth) and prove that the 2 mm crack was an pre-existing condition, and not caused by the subsequent customer. Be aware of this happening with Alamo Airport Car Rental at Tampa International Airport! They’re together with Enterprise and National at TPA.

  The Alamo representative was at the entrance waiting to help with the kiosk check in. It was 9:00 pm and I asked if he was in a hurry to get home and he smiled and said that he still had a couple of hours to work. He was obviously just being helpful, and not trying to rush any customer through so he could get home. I was grateful for the speed of check in, since I had friends waiting for me at their home. The same was true at the garage area. The representative greeted me as I walked in and told me to choose any car on the aisle. I would choose Alamo over others in the future, based on this experience, even if the price was a bit more. I recently had bad experience with another national rental car company, and would not book with them again. Someone hit me in their car and they tried to collect loss of use fees from me, since the other driver's insurance would not pay it. I booked with an Amex gold card and they said unless there were no other cars in their fleet at the airport, that they could not collect those fees. Renters beware.
