- OXOlga Xavier6 days ago1.0This location is the worse. I have walked in other Advanced Auto Part stores and they have remarkable employee there. They have helped me replace my windshield wipers and replace light bulbs for my back brakes. But this location is a disgrace to the other stores because one bad apple makes the rest look bad. Get better management and customer training for the employee in this location. I won't ever return here. They are not helpful and unprofessional. Shame on them.

I went in today to exchange a light bulb that I had purchased about a month ago from a different location. I was told that because I purchased the bulb at another location, they would not be able to find my purchase history in their system. What made the situation worse was the way the female manager handled it. I felt that she was being dishonest with me, and when I questioned what I was being told, she became hostile and told me to leave the store and never come back simply because I challenged her explanation. I decided to go to another Advance Auto Parts location about a mile away. They entered my phone number into the system, immediately found my purchase history, and told me, “Sir, it looks like you bought this bulb about a month ago.” They then exchanged the bulb for me without any problems whatsoever. That experience clearly demonstrated that the information I was given at the first location was incorrect. Either the employees at this location are not properly trained on how to use their system, or the manager simply did not want to help me. Customer service should never involve treating customers with hostility or attempting to run them out of the store for asking legitimate questions. Management should seriously look into how this location is being operated and how customers are being treated. I will not be returning to this location.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
