  I originally left Dave's Automotive Repair a one-star review because after having front-end work performed on my vehicle, I drove away experiencing violent shaking and horrible noises coming from the front end. I was honestly horrified and believed something had gone terribly wrong. After reading my review, Christian, the manager, personally called me and asked me to bring the vehicle back so he could inspect it himself. He and one of his mechanics carefully went over the vehicle and discovered several serious problems that needed immediate attention. Christian brought me into the shop and personally showed me the issues. He was so concerned about my safety that he did not even want me driving the vehicle home and paid for an Uber to take me home instead. That same afternoon, he ordered the necessary parts, including tie rod ends and a new axle, and put my vehicle through extensive testing to make sure everything was right. Not only did he fix the problems, but he did not charge me for the additional parts that were required to make the car safe and reliable. The next day he even paid for another Uber ride so I could pick up my vehicle. Christian told me he felt genuinely bad about what had happened, and he proved with his actions that customer satisfaction is more than just words at Dave's Automotive Repair. He went above and beyond to make things right. Anyone can provide good service when everything goes according to plan. What separates a great business from an average one is how they respond when problems arise. Dave's Automotive Repair and Christian showed me exactly what integrity and customer service look like. Because of the way they handled this situation, I have changed my review from one star to five stars without hesitation. Christian is not only a good manager, he is a good man who truly cares about his customers and stands behind his work. Thank you, Christian, for making things right. Roy Sheen

  We had to drop my wife’s car off while out of town near Dave’s, And I can’t tell you what a pleasant experience it was. The time they took and detail was the most thorough and in depth diagnosis we’ve ever had. They We were able to troubleshoot and figure out exactly what was wrong. Whether in town or out of town, this is the place to drop off your car if you need it repaired. The price they quoted was very very reasonable as well. Even though I’m out of town and live almost 2 hours away, if I have car issues, I’ll be getting it to Dave’s.

  Dave hooked me up with an alignment on my fully customized 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo with a widebody kit pushing 335 wide tires on the back. Now she's straight as an arrow and ripping up pavement. Plus Dave is a US Air force Veteran! He used to work on fighter jets, he can easily fix your car or truck. Cleanest shop Ive ever seen! Thank you Dave!

  Dave’s Auto did quality work at a fair price. Communication was great throughout the process and the complimentary Uber ride to my hotel and back was a definite plus. I was desperately looking for a repair after driving 1,000 miles to FL for vacation. Would recommend this shop to anyone!

  I’ve been looking for a honest shop to take our Honda element to for service. We got a card/ advertisement in the mail and decided to give them a try. So glad we did. We had an oil change done and a week later we brought it back for 4 new struts. They did a great job and the price was reasonable. They are friendly and have a nice little waiting area or will arrange a ride for you if needed. If you are in The St Petersburg area and been looking for a great shop to have your car serviced, give this place a try. I think you will be happy. Dave’s Automotive!!!
