Great customer service! Akim, it was a delight meeting you! I came in with 1/2 my rear lights out and one guys starts taking about relays…out of the back I hear “no, lets go look at it”. He took off the lights looked and replaced the bulbs. Thank you so much!

Tonight, I had the pleasure of dealing with an extremely nice and helpful store manager Akim. His professionalism and willingness to help me when his store was pretty busy was amazing! It was the beginning of my memorial day staycation.... when I shut off the car but the radiator fan would not shut off. Ugh! But, thankfully I stopped at auto zone in gulfport. I was greeted with a smile by Octavia, who was about to save the day. She was determined to solve my car problems. I need to do a shout out. She is an extraordinary woman. I can see why she is a manager , it's more then a job to her. She truly wants to help her customers. I am so greatful to have met her. A true treasure. You Rock Girl !!! Continue being you.... Yesterday my battery died, so I came to this location and bought a new battery that was recommended by the staff. After installing it, my car still would not start — I had to get a jump from another vehicle just to leave. Today the problem happened again. I went to another AutoZone location in Pinellas Park and was told the battery was “fine” without deeper diagnostics. I ended up going to my local mechanic, where they performed a full battery test and found the battery was actually defective / heavily discharged (photo attached). After showing the results, AutoZone replaced it without any issue. My question is simple: why wasn’t the battery checked properly before selling it? And why did I have to spend extra time, get multiple jump starts, and pay for diagnostics to prove there was a problem? If you buy a battery here — ask them to test it before leaving.
