I was greeted by Will, (store 09524) and I explained that I wasn’t sure what the part was called and hoped he could help identify it. We went to my car, popped the hood, and I showed him the issue with the hose. He immediately said, “That’s an easy fix.” I was so relieved! At first, he suggested I see a mechanic, but when I told him I didn’t have one, he stepped in and helped me without hesitation. Not only did he replace the hose, but he also provided the clamps I needed to complete the repair, which cost less than $6. I highly recommend Will for any future purchases or assistance. He went above and beyond, provided outstanding customer service, and truly put a smile on my face. Thanks to him, I was able to avoid a much bigger problem with my car—LOL!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
