- JWJaleesa Wooden2 days ago5.0Upon arrival, I waited patiently for no more than two minutes until a register became available. I was greeted by Will, (store 09524) and I explained that I wasn’t sure what the part was called and hoped he could help identify it. We went to my car, popped the hood, and I showed him the issue with the hose. He immediately said, “That’s an easy fix.” I was so relieved! At first, he suggested I see a mechanic, but when I told him I didn’t have one, he stepped in and helped me without hesitation. Not only did he replace the hose, but he also provided the clamps I needed to complete the repair, which cost less than $6. I highly recommend Will for any future purchases or assistance. He went above and beyond, provided outstanding customer service, and truly put a smile on my face. Thanks to him, I was able to avoid a much bigger problem with my car—LOL!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
