I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this Valvoline location, especially with how I was treated when I returned to give them an opportunity to correct a problem. I had my oil changed here and afterward noticed that my vehicle was leaking oil. I returned to the location and politely asked them to inspect the work they had performed to make sure everything was okay. Instead of taking my concern seriously, the manager, Jariza, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She made comments under her breath to a coworker, gave me dirty looks, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience simply for asking them to check their own work. After the inspection, she came back with a sarcastic attitude and told me that everything was “dry.” I asked if they could simply document that they had inspected the vehicle so I could show the Kia dealership that Valvoline had checked their work. She told me they could not provide any type of note or documentation. I then took my vehicle to the Kia dealership. They inspected it and took pictures and videos clearly showing that the oil leak was coming from the oil filter that Valvoline had installed. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that I gave Valvoline the opportunity to inspect and correct the issue before going anywhere else. This could have been a simple fix. Instead, my concern was dismissed, I was treated disrespectfully, and I was told everything was fine when it was not. I came into the location calm and respectful. I did not deserve the attitude or disrespect I received from a manager, especially when my concern turned out to be completely legitimate. Something that could have been handled quickly and professionally is now a much bigger issue because I had to take the vehicle to the dealership to have Valvoline’s work properly diagnosed and documented. I have the pictures and videos from Kia showing exactly what they found. Very disappointing experience, both in the quality of the service and, even more importantly, in how I was treated when I gave them the opportunity to make it right.

I paid $142 for my daughter’s Volkswagen oil change. When we got home, we discovered the windshield-washer fluid was still empty, so my husband had to fill it himself. Since Valvoline advertises an 18-point maintenance check, this made me question whether the other fluids were actually checked. For $142, I expected the complete service that was advertised. Just be cautious.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel others should know about it. I purchased a Groupon for an oil change (around $80) and brought my truck to Valvoline Instant Oil Change on South French Ave in Sanford. The service itself was completed, and I understood there would be an additional charge because my truck required more oil than the Groupon covered. I had no issue paying the difference. The problem began when the Groupon wouldn’t process correctly (some issue with the stores system from what I was told). I waited close to an hour while the staff tried to resolve the issue. Since I had my infant son waiting at home, I asked if they could call me once everything was sorted out. The manager agreed, and I left believing the issue would be resolved. This was not the 10 minute instant oil change I was expecting but all good things come up and I was understanding. A few days later, I received a call that there was some type of system issue. I was told there had been some type of issue with the stores system involving Groupon, but the explanation was vague and that additional payment was required. During the call, I was also told that some type of refund had been initiated. Since I checked my bank account and did not see this refund they were talking about, I simply asked if I could wait until I actually saw the refund in my account before making another payment, as I didn’t want to risk being charged twice (I was not demanding, it was simple question to avoid further complication). Instead of explaining the situation or working with me, the employee told me that if I didn’t pay immediately, they would call the police. I found that response completely unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since the billing issue appeared to be related to the payment system rather than anything I had done. Prior to him saying that, i had not refused to pay I was trying to understand what the issue was exactly as I was the one paying and with all there system issues I did not want to get overcharged. I contacted Valvoline corporate to try to resolve the matter. While I was working with corporate, the store still contacted the police. As of writing this review, I am still waiting for corporate to provide clarification. What disappointed me most was the customer service. The manager Jariza, when I mentioned I would be leaving a negative review, she responded that she wasn’t worried because she already had plenty of negative reviews and expected more. That response alone spoke volumes about the level of customer service I experienced. Mistakes happen, and billing issues can occur. What matters is how they’re handled. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple payment issue turned into an unnecessary confrontation because of poor communication and a lack of professionalism. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously so future customers don’t have a similar experiencel. All this over what I thought would be a quick oil change. Jeeeeez
