- NMNathaniel MadduxJun 1, 20261.0I came in to see if I created a problem when I changed my spark plugs. Larry immediately got defensive and said it's against company policy. I asked him why Advanced Auto would have a scanner if it couldn't be used to scan my vehicle. He said it couldn't be borrowed. I asked him to consider that I don't care who does it. He. Said the codes couldn't be cleared. I asked what codes he was referring to. He said he was referring to the codes the scanner might find. I said I wasn't worried about that and hadn't indicated that I wanted to clear any codes. He told me it would be a while while I waited on the lady put front to finish helping the other customer with his battery. I said that I'm not in a hurry. He said good because it wouldn't matter if I was. I am still waiting after 15 minutes. Larry is still leaning on the counter staring into space.

We always hope he is working when we have to go there to get parts because he always gets the right things we need immediately. If you need any help getting it on your vehicle or to your vehicle he"s on it. Advance Auto and that store should be extremely glad they have someone like that working there. Employess like that are hard to find.

- BLBrentton LApr 18, 20265.0Came in needing assistance with a power steering pump to remove a bolt. Of course the age of the bolt just kept giving me issues. The kind gentlemen tonight let me borrow some tools. They didnt work. One gentleman ended up brute forcing it off and let me tell you, I felt emasculated - but man was I very appreciative of their services. They ended up getting that bolt off and saved me a huge headache and financial issues. Hella recommend this store, you won’t be disappointed!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
