Trusting that I was given the correct item, I left the store and drove home to Fort Lauderdale without checking the ticket. Once I arrived home, I realized that I had been given a $5 scratch-off ticket instead of the $20 ticket I paid for. This raises serious concerns, as it appears there may have been a switch made, with the remaining balance potentially kept by the cashier. The cashier was a younger Black male wearing glasses. If this was intentional, it represents a troubling and dishonest practice that undermines customer trust. I urge management to investigate this incident promptly and take appropriate action. Customers should be cautious and verify their purchases before leaving the store.
