EDIT — Note for Jessica, if you also respond to Google reviews: Please review the emails I sent you with documentation relevant to your Yelp response before responding here.
I spent about two months trying to handle this privately. Since that produced no meaningful result, I’m hopeful documenting these issues publicly will.
Attached are selected pages from my full report to Gerber leadership. Google limits reviews to 20 photos, so I included key pages and communications illustrating potential statutory issues. The full report included screenshots and a documented timeline of texts, emails and calls.
There’s too much for Google’s character limit, so I’ll focus on what happened AFTER I wrote it.
During my repair, I begged to know what remained, what could go wrong and what could cause another delay.
I’m a mechanic. When something else is found and my car is delayed again, I wonder: Why was this just found? Could it have been found earlier?
The report shows how hard it was to get those answers.
Some documented conduct also appears potentially relevant to Florida Statute §559.920, including provisions on deceptive or misleading statements by motor vehicle repair shops.
Eventually I asked General Manager Jenny Cole to STOP sending me repair updates. Those updates continued anyway.
When I wanted useful communication about possible problems, I couldn’t get it. When I asked for it to stop, I kept getting it.
When I picked up my car, I gave Jenny Cole a physical copy of this report. I was told it would reach Kaleef Henderson.
Since then, I’ve repeatedly tried to reach Kaleef Henderson and Jorge Fernandez by calls, texts, emails and Customer Care.
I’m still waiting for it.
Subaru later found more issues after my car was returned: a gasket/seal issue around the turbo I was told resulted from improper reassembly, plus concerns with a replaced strut and my A/C blower motor.
That led to a conversation with Regional Manager Scott Morgan.
Instead of solving my complaint, that call became part of it.
Scott told me Gerber doesn’t “have a time machine.” He discussed Gerber having happy and unhappy customers and being unable to make everyone happy. He also said he had heard my “full story” through a previous call, even though parts of my current complaint hadn’t happened then.
I later told Customer Care what I believe sums this up:
Gerber has now had a customer do a process improvement manager’s job for free. I’ve spent months finding, documenting and reporting systemic communication failures, only to watch similar failures continue while I report them.
I was told this facility was coached. Yet after my June 19 pickup, another customer posted a strikingly similar complaint involving repair, communication and corporate response issues.
I told Customer Care that, to me, this looks like a company on fire.
Scott also told me his Southern Division is Gerber’s most successful division.
If accurate, I find that terrifying. After what I’ve documented within that division, I wonder what the less successful ones look like.
This led me to have a panic attack. I told Gerber how seriously this affected me, yet I don’t feel it was taken seriously.
My request is STILL simple:
Call me. Have a conversation with me.
Even Customer Care agreed it shouldn’t have been this difficult.
Most recently, calls from my normal number to Customer Care stopped connecting. When I hid my caller ID, the call connected. I don’t know why. I’m simply stating it happened.
My complaint started at one shop and went through Customer Care and regional management. I’m still asking someone to address it.
This is no longer just about my car. It is about what happens when a customer finds what he believes are failures in Gerber’s process, documents them, gives that documentation to the company and asks:
Who is going to address this?
Read the attached documentation. Make your own judgment.
After two months, I’m STILL asking Gerber:
How did we get here?
Great service, thank you.

If you find yourself in an accident and need repair work I highly recommend Gerber. I used the shop on Enterprise Dr and could not be happier with my choice. They were very professional, courteous and got the job done ahead of schedule! I would 1000% recommend them!!
From the day of my accident on June 24, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Even before they opened, Jenny welcomed me in so I could grab a few things from my car. She was kind, caring, and professional from the very beginning.
Daisy kept me updated throughout the repair process, and although I was told my car would be ready on July 28, I was pleasantly surprised when it was finished on July 10!
When I picked up my car, Aaron greeted me with a smile. One of the first things he asked was how I was feeling after the accident. That simple question meant more than he knows. It reminded me that they don't just fix cars..they genuinely care about people.
The repairs were flawless, but what I'll remember most is how they treated me. We truly need more businesses like this. Thank you, Jenny, Daisy, Aaron, and the entire team, for turning such a stressful experience into a positive one. I highly recommend them!
Thank you & God bless,
Esther M.

1-Star Review: Dangerous Repairs, Potential Insurance Fraud, and Deceptive ManagementDo not trust Gerber Collision at 475 NW Enterprise Dr in Port St. Lucie. I brought my 2016 Dodge Caravan here through a State Farm referral for $2,900 in highway debris repairs. They returned my vehicle in an completely unsafe, hazardous condition and engaged in what appears to be blatant insurance fraud. Here is what they did to my vehicle:Severe Safety Hazard: They left a main undercarriage wiring harness completely loose and sloppily bound with uncut plastic zip ties, creating an immediate electrical short and fire risk.Missing & Swapped Parts: They removed my original spare tire, the assembly toolset, and the upper and lower plastic retaining shields.Dangerous Substituted Parts: In place of my original spare, they shoved an incorrect car/crossover rim and a dangerous, 10-year-old expired tire (verified by the DOT code) under my van. This tire cannot safely support the weight of a minivan and is a major blowout risk.Terrible Workmanship: There is a finger-sized gap between the front bumper and middle grille, and the corner of the bumper is hanging off because they refused to replace a broken plastic clip. When I called to complain, General Manager Jen Cole was incredibly defensive, unprofessional, and openly lied. She claimed she didn't use my missing tools because she used her personal Chevy Silverado tools to lower my spare tire. This is a physical impossibility—Chevy truck tools do not work on a Dodge Caravan hoist. She even lied about this on a recorded three-way call with my insurance adjuster, who openly called out her lie. Jen then gave me her personal number to send photo evidence of the 10-year-old tire, unprofessionally told me "not to abuse it," and completely ghosted me.Corporate has ignored my complaints. I am filing formal reports with the Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Division (FDACS), NHTSA, the Florida Attorney General, and State Farm’s fraud unit. Jen Cole is running a total scam shop. Avoid this location at all costs if you value your safety and your wallet.
